The Learning Strategist serves as a strategic consultant and subject matter expert, partnering with Account Executives (AEs) and Client Success Managers (CSMs) to deliver high-impact content solutions. This role takes the lead when opportunities are identified, developing and executing Custom Association Content Strategies that drive adoption, engagement, and revenue growth.
The Learning Strategist also leads client-facing seminars and workshops to showcase best practices and spearheads strategic initiatives for expanding Momentive University, including:
Software product discovery across Momentive
Audience segmentation and engagement strategies
Identification of support challenges
Client training needs and scalable learning solutions
Cascading opportunities into actionable training development roadmaps
A Day in the Life
Partner with Account Executives (AEs) and Client Success Managers (CSMs) to identify opportunities for client content strategy engagements and take the lead in delivering consultative solutions.
Develop and manage Statements of Work (SOWs) and scope client content strategy projects, defining objectives, deliverables, costs, and resource needs in collaboration with internal teams, ensuring alignment with client goals and organizational priorities.
Lead handoffs to project manager and other stakeholders
Design and implement custom client Content Strategies that:
Drive adoption and measurable engagement outcomes.
Support client decision-making through data-driven insights and best practices.
Create pathways for revenue-generating opportunities.
Lead client-facing seminars and workshops to promote content adoption, showcase best practices, and generate new business opportunities.
Plan and execute strategic initiatives for expanding Momentive University, including:
Discovery of software product needs across Momentive.
Audience segmentation and engagement strategies.
Identification of support challenges and client training requirements.
Collaborate closely with instructional designers and internal teams to develop scalable, high-quality learning solutions that align with client goals and strategic content plans.
Develop compelling proposals and support the sales team in closing new business for content products and services.
Serve as an internal consultant for Learning Services, sharing expertise to drive innovation and operational excellence.
Stay informed about Learning Services-adjacent products (such as Path LMS features and pricing) and industry options (including third-party courses) to advise clients on the best approach for their content strategies.
Leverage emerging technologies and scalable frameworks to enhance content delivery.
Analyze learner engagement data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
We are looking for someone who brings
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
7+ years of experience in content strategy, client consulting, or learning services, preferably within associations or educational organizations.
Experience working with or within associations, understanding their unique structures, member-driven priorities, and content needs.
Demonstrated success in building strategic client relationships and delivering value-added solutions that enhance engagement and retention
Proactive, self-starter mindset—able to take initiative, anticipate client needs, and deliver innovative solutions with minimal supervision.
Expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.
Strong project management and collaboration skills.
Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences and communicate complex ideas clearly.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling proposals. Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS), content products, and industry trends, with the ability to advise clients on best-fit solutions.
