Position Summary:
The Lead Technical Implementation Analyst leads requirements and delivery coordination across a portfolio of concurrent initiatives spanning internal business units and external distribution partners, including the Distribution API, sets the standards the track works to, and mentors other analysts. This role is primarily an individual contributor who identifies systemic issues across business units, promotes solutions with strong strategic fit, and collaborates with leadership on capacity, prioritization, and cross-functional alignment.

About the Feature Delivery track:

Analysts on this track partner with business units across Coterie, including Revenue, Salesforce, Claims, Care/Payments, and Compliance, and with external distribution partners and the APIs they consume, to organize ideas, gather and structure requirements, and move projects forward. Work may include distribution partner integrations and changes to the Distribution API. They are the single point of contact for internal and external stakeholders and own communication, UAT coordination, and the quality of requirements handed to engineering. This is not a handoff role, as analysts stay engaged through delivery and the “final mile” of release.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads requirements and delivery coordination across multiple concurrent initiatives, business units, or distribution partner integrations, including Distribution API changes.
  • Defines and enforces standards for requirements documentation, UAT, and stakeholder communication.
  • Mentors analysts and contributes to onboarding and team development.
  • Collaborates with leadership on team capacity, prioritization, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Identifies pervasive issues across business units and proposes systemic solutions.
  • Assesses the impact of system and API changes on compatibility, downstream dependencies, and partner workflows.

Expectations at this level:

  • Provides delivery leadership across a portfolio of work, not just individual projects.
  • Recognizes and promotes solutions with strong strategic fit.
  • Balances hands-on delivery with team enablement and process definition.
  • Exercises sound judgment in evaluating risks and escalating unresolved decisions and takes a collaborative approach to building others' domain knowledge and testing skills.

Team-Wide Expectations:

Every member of the Technical Implementation team is expected to meet the following, in addition to the role-specific qualifications above.

  • Mindset: curiosity and self-motivation; an ownership mentality toward every project; storytelling tailored to business stakeholders and developers alike; scope awareness that catches and raises scope creep early.
  • Domain and technical fluency: the SME insurance market and Coterie's position in it; Coterie's distribution relationships and how they shape system design; what an API is and how it works; demonstrable use of AI tools for requirements, UAT, and development; quantifying project benefits with relevant metrics; stakeholder management, including when to escalate and when to resolve.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Insurance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in business analysis, product ownership, implementation, or delivery roles, including leading cross-functional initiatives, managing timelines, and running several initiatives in parallel across different stakeholder groups.
  • Meets the team-wide mindset and fluency expectations.
  • Commercial insurance product knowledge (deep exposure to SME insurance products, market dynamics, and workflows).
  • Technical experience (software engineering, software testing, product management or ownership, or similar delivery tooling) and/or Coterie business familiarity (products, systems, processes).
  • Ability to write engineering-ready requirements with context, acceptance criteria, and explicit out-of-scope items, and to design and run UAT with traceability, defect triage, and documented acceptance.
  • Working knowledge of at least one of Coterie's partner business areas, such as Salesforce-based revenue workflows, claims, billing and payments, compliance, or distribution partner integrations and the Distribution API.
  • Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, APIs, and Postman.
  • Experience defining requirements, UAT, or communication standards that others adopted.
  • Extensive experience mentoring analysts or project coordinators, influencing team roadmaps, and winning support from executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Bridges technical and business language confidently with developers and business leaders, and operates effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Experience):

  • Extensive knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance distribution and agency operations.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodology.
  • Aptitude for producing detailed documentation.
  • Experience in an integrations manager or similar partner-facing technical role, guiding external partners through API integrations.
