The Lead Platform Architect will have a deep understanding of cloud technologies, DevOps principles, and experience in architecting scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions. This role will be instrumental in designing and implementing cutting-edge DevOps platforms to support our clients' diverse needs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, automation, implementation, and management of DevOps solutions with a focus on identity management, cloud technologies, networking technologies, and VMware.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure secure and efficient user access management.
- Oversee the configuration and management of cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), including VMware-based solutions.
- Implement and maintain networking technologies to optimize application performance and reliability.
- Provide guidance on best practices for security, compliance, scalability, and automation.
- Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, and configuration management systems.
- Mentor and train junior DevOps engineers.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead the design and implementation of DevOps platforms and solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define architecture, and drive the delivery of DevOps initiatives.
- Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, provisioning, and monitoring processes.
- Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment of applications.
- Design and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance the capabilities of our DevOps platforms.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members
- Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored DevOps solutions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of industry experience in DevOps, with a strong emphasis on identity management, cloud technologies (including VMware), networking, and automation.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD), and infrastructure automation
- Proficiency in Terraform is highly desired.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms, including VMware (vSphere, vCenter, NSX-T), and other major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and experience with leading cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD
- Familiarity with infrastructure such as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer are a plus.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
- CCNP and/or VCP-DV, VCP-NSX is required
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business or a related field.
