Lead .NET/C# Engineer | $150K-$180K + Equity + Remote | High-Growth Event Planning SaaS Company
YOU MUST LIVE IN THE STATES, BUT THE PHILADELPHIA AREA IS PREFERRED (NY TO DC)
YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN OR GREENCARD HOLDER TO APPLY TO THIS POSITION. WE’RE NOT OFFERING VISA SPONSORSHIP.
Are you ready to transform the Event Planning SaaS Industry and deliver best-in-class code in an exciting startup that’s skyrocketing?
Company Overview
Our client is a fast-growing, $3M seed-funded B2B SaaS company in the event planning and hospitality space. Their platform is trusted by over 150K venues worldwide, including major brands like Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt. They’re simplifying and modernizing how event planners and hospitality teams collaborate, source, and book venues — all in one platform.
Backed by strong early traction and clear product-market fit, they’re now building out their core engineering team. This is a high-impact, HANDS-ON, leadership role where you’ll help guide architecture, improve infrastructure, and take ownership of backend systems that power a category-defining product.
Company Culture
This is an amazing opportunity if you’re looking to grow, where you will directly impact the growth and success of an incredible company and team.
Our client values accountability, an ownership mindset, and a data-driven approach. They’re a collaborative team where each person’s contributions directly impact their success. Their company is scaling fast, where micromanagement does not exist, and you’ll have the freedom to think outside the box, bring fresh ideas, and get creative with your processes.
You’ll work closely with the founders and C-Suite, allowing you to make a real difference and be part of strategic decisions. If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with opportunities for growth and advancement, this is the place for you!
Benefits
- Health Coverage: 100% employee and 50% dependent coverage for vision, health, and dental.
- Maternity Leave: Support for growing families.
- Future 401K Plan: Coming soon!
- Quarterly Meetups: Connect and collaborate in person with the team.
- Remote work budget and opportunities for leadership advancement.
Company Culture
- Remote-first culture.
- High-ownership role with autonomy to shape systems from the ground up.
- Direct access to the founder and fast decision-making cycles.
- Clear product-market fit, strong user base, and rapid growth phase.
- No micromanagement — just big challenges and the trust to solve them.
We’re looking for a Lead Engineer who can own system architecture end-to-end — from translating product/customer needs into scalable backend systems, to making architecture trade-offs, to guiding frontend integration.
This is not just a coding role: you’ll be the technical decision-maker working directly with the founder to design and deliver systems that can scale with our growth. This is a great fit for someone who thrives in remote, high-autonomy environments.
Responsibilities
Drive architecture decisions for our client’s core platform, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
Partner with product and customers to translate requirements into technical designs and implementations.
Balance hands-on coding with setting technical direction and mentoring others.
Communicate architecture choices and trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Keep stack details (C#, Azure, React/TS) but reframe as tools to achieve outcomes, not just skills.
Lead backend development using appropriate platforms (C# / .NET are preferred, but our client isn’t too hung up on languages) — designing and maintaining APIs, data models, and business logic
Contribute to and support the existing React front-end, C# .NET Function Apps, and other Azure resources, as needed
Own Azure-based deployments and DevOps processes; improve CI/CD and environment management
Architect and implement improvements across performance, scalability, and system reliability
Proactively present updates and technical decisions in a clear, organized way (weekly cadence expected)
Confidently challenge ideas that aren’t technically sound, and push for smarter solutions when needed
- 5-9+ years of C# /.NET B2B SaaS software engineering experience.
- Comfortable with front-end development in React and Typescript.
- Strong grasp of DevOps best practices, ideally in Azure environments.
- Microsoft Certified or equivalent experience preferred.
- You’re comfortable working directly with technical founders — and navigating tough conversations when needed.
- You value clarity, consistency, and direct communication.
- You’re assertive, thick-skinned, and proactive — not afraid to push back, but always solution-oriented.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize, multitask, perform well under pressure, meet deadlines, and wear multiple hats.
- Excited to work in a startup environment; you have a track record of being adaptable to changing priorities in a fluid, high-growth environment.
If you’re a confident, senior engineer ready to lead, build, and influence the future of a fast-growing SaaS platform — we’d love to hear from you.
