The Role:
Entegris is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Engineer with deep expertise in machining programming and advanced manufacturing systems to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous optimization of complex machining processes and production strategies across the EUV Machining Area.
The Lead Engineer will apply advanced, wide-ranging professional knowledge and engineering acumen to solve highly complex manufacturing challenges, develop innovative solutions, and influence technical direction. This role owns and drives transformation across all manufacturing steps—from raw material to finished goods—ensuring alignment with company objectives, operational excellence, and long-term scalability.
What You’ll Do:
Technical Leadership & Strategy
Lead the development and optimization of advanced machining processes, programs, and manufacturing systems to maximize efficiency, quality, and throughput.
Establish and drive long-term manufacturing strategies, technology roadmaps, and process standardization across operations.
Serve as the technical authority for machining, providing guidance on complex engineering problems and influencing design for manufacturability decisions.
Advanced Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
Lead resolution of highly complex manufacturing issues, applying in-depth analysis of data, process interactions, and variable factors.
Define and implement innovative solutions using advanced statistical tools, modeling, and engineering judgment.
Champion and lead 8D problem-solving teams, ensuring effective root cause analysis, corrective actions, and prevention strategies aligned with customer expectations.
Drive and govern cost reduction initiatives (scrap, cycle time, changeover, yield improvement) with measurable business impact.
Process Development & Ownership
Own CNC programming strategy and governance, ensuring precision, standardization, and scalability across operations.
Oversee development and validation of processes for machining and supporting equipment (e.g., tumblers, lasers, bead blast).
Direct the design, fabrication, and lifecycle management of complex fixtures and tooling systems.
Own Management of Change (MOC), including V&Q, FMEA, PCN, and ensure robust risk mitigation and compliance.
Capital & Capacity Planning
Lead justification, selection, procurement, installation, qualification, and validation of capital equipment.
Analyze current and future capacity requirements, developing data-driven recommendations for capital investments and resource allocation.
Evaluate and implement advanced automation and digital manufacturing solutions where appropriate.
Data Analysis & Business Impact
Utilize advanced analytics and statistical tools to identify trends, optimize performance, and predict risks.
Present complex technical data and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, customers, and external stakeholders.
Own master data integrity (routings, cost models, scrap factors, work centers) and engineering change processes (ECRs).
Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence
Lead cross-functional initiatives involving engineering, operations, quality, automation, supply chain, and external partners.
Influence stakeholders across functions and sites to align on priorities, standards, and execution plans.
Collaborate closely with design engineering to ensure manufacturability, cost efficiency, and product robustness.
Coaching, Mentorship & Organizational Impact
Act as a mentor and technical coach to engineers, technicians, and machinists, elevating team capability.
Define best practices, standard work, and training frameworks for machining and manufacturing processes.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and engineering excellence.
What We Seek:
Minimum of 8+ years of experience in CNC programming and advanced manufacturing engineering, with demonstrated leadership in complex environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (Master’s or advanced specialization preferred).
Proven ability to solve complex, ambiguous problems requiring advanced technical judgment and innovation.
Expertise in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam, Gibbscam) and advanced CNC programming methodologies.
Deep knowledge of machining processes, materials, tooling, and process optimization techniques.
Strong experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and data-driven decision-making frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority at multiple organizational levels.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights.
High level of ownership, accountability, and strategic thinking aligned with business objectives.

Ability to occasionally bend, reach, climb stairs, and access equipment or tooling.
Ability to lift and carry 25–40 lbs when handling tooling, fixtures, or components.
Comfortable working in an active machining environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures; PPE required.
Strong visual acuity and manual dexterity for part inspection, machine interaction, and reading technical documentation.
May require occasional travel to suppliers or other facilities.
Ability to work occasionally extended or flexible hours to support production needs.
Wear required PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel toe shoes as appropriate
