Job Description SummaryThe Lead HMI & Networking Quality Engineer will serve as the primary authority for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of HMI and networking deliverables. This role acts as a critical quality gate between New Product Introduction (NPI) development and global fulfillment, establishing the standards for Verification & Validation (V&V). You will partner with Technical Leaders and System Architects to define quality metrics and develop automated testing frameworks that ensure every HMI platform, virtualization layer, and network configuration meets rigorous functional and cybersecurity requirements before reaching the customer.Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
- Establish Quality Gates – Define and enforce "Definition of Ready" and "Definition of Done" for HMI and Networking artifacts, ensuring all NPI outputs meet quality standards prior to global fulfillment handoff.
- Drive Validation Excellence – Act as the technical authority for HMI, Networking, and Cybersecurity quality standards, providing guidance on complex validation scenarios and troubleshooting systemic issues.
- Own of ER and NCR Case Metrics – Work with the control quality senior leaders to analyze and disposition trends in ER and NCR cases.
- Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) – Investigate quality escapes and performance bottlenecks within HMI and networking systems; drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to improve product robustness. Partner with SCS and engineering quality leaders to drive discovery and implement change.
- Integrate Quality into SAFe – Participate in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) planning to ensure quality tasks, regression testing, and validation milestones are integrated into the program increment (PI) and sprint cycles.
- Standardize Quality Documentation – Author and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), test reports, and quality playbooks for HMI, networking, and cybersecurity products.
- Quality Training & Mentorship – Lead training initiatives for domestic and global fulfillment teams on quality standards, testing tools, and defect-reporting procedures.
Education Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree of Science in a “STEM” major (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in an industrial control engineering capacity with a strong emphasis on software development
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in development focused on Power controls platform, HMI, & network solutions

- Knowledge of VMWare ESXi Hypervisor, Proficy Cimplicity, Networking, and Cyber Security principles
- Knowledge of the Gas Power Controls fulfillment processes
- Experience with HMI, Networking, and Cybersecurity systems manufacturing processes
