The Corporate Controller – US is responsible for overseeing the accounting, reporting, and financial control of the Company’s newly established legal entities in the United States. This role ensures the accuracy and compliance of financial statements under US GAAP, maintains timely and transparent reporting, and upholds strong financial governance within the SPV structure. The position involves close collaboration with the Group Finance team, external auditors, and cross-functional partners to support effective consolidation and control across the organization.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee the full accounting cycle for one or more US legal entities, including general ledger maintenance, accruals, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
- Manage sub-consolidation and reporting of results into group financial statements.
- Ensure timely submission of reporting packages to Group Finance.
- Coordinate annual audits, liaising directly with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor compliance with loan covenants, investment agreements, and other entity-related obligations.
- Maintain and continuously improve internal control procedures.
- Collaborate with tax, treasury, legal, and corporate development teams to ensure proper structuring and financial operations.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements in financial reporting.
We expect you to have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting or controlling experience, ideally within a group or holding structure.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS.
- Proven experience with financial reporting, consolidation, and audits.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
It will be an added bonus if you have:
- CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification.
- Experience with financial instruments, hedge accounting, and SPV or structured finance entities.
- Background in investment or multinational environments.
