The Opportunity: 

  • Begin your systems engineering career on an Agile program delivering GEOINT capabilities to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). 

  • Learn the discipline hands-on — requirements, interfaces, verification — with senior engineers guiding you. 

  • Contribute to mission-critical systems that enable intelligence analysis and mission execution. 

  • Build a foundation across software, data, and infrastructure engineering in a supportive team environment. 

 
Responsibilities: 

  • Support requirements analysis, documentation, and traceability under senior guidance. 

  • Assist in developing and maintaining interface documentation and engineering artifacts. 

  • Support verification and validation activities including test documentation and execution support. 

  • Help investigate system issues and document analysis and resolutions. 

  • Maintain engineering documentation and configuration records. 

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies as part of a cross-functional team. 

  • Follow established engineering processes, checklists, and standards. 

 
Qualifications: 
Required: 

  • Security Clearance (TS/SCI) with ability to obtain Polygraph

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (equivalent experience accepted). 

  • 0–3 years of engineering experience (academic, internship, or professional). 

  • Foundational understanding of systems engineering or software development lifecycle concepts. 

  • Strong attention to detail and written communication skills. 

  • Ability to apply established processes and work effectively within a team.  

Desired: 

  • Experience using geospatial software such as Esri ArcGIS Pro / ArcGIS Enterprise and related APIs.

  • Exposure to requirements or test management tools. 

  • Coursework or projects involving GIS, data systems, or cloud technologies. 

  • Familiarity with Agile development practices.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$58,000-$115,900
