Job Description:

he Junior eDiscovery Technical Specialist - Data Collections role is an eDiscovery support function to acquire, search, organize and present key electronic records (mainly but not exclusively email) to support confidential/sensitive Legal and Human Resource inquiries and investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and enhancing existing process documentation.

  • Develop, enhance and maintain operational processes and procedures, including data QC and validation, to ensure a consistent, correct, complete and timely collection and processing of specified sources.

  • Coordination with other IT teams to acquire records that are not directly accessible.

  • Perform data collections using industry standard tools such as EnCase, Forensic Toolkit, Veritas Discovery Accelerator etc.

  • Processing / searching of acquired data.

  • Perform data culling and processing using industry standard software

  • Export and package deliverables for review platforms or subsequent processing.

  • Provide troubleshooting services to clients.

  • Communication with Legal, Regulatory Business requestors (internal clients), IT teams and external providers.

  • Ability to clearly set timeline expectations and priorities.

  • Ability to define tasks across all support organizations.

  • Maintain tracking and reporting for various support teams and up lines.

  •  Potentially work additional hours beyond regular schedule to meet customer commitments which may include evenings and weekends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Familiarity with eDiscovery tools, in particular Veritas Discovery Accelerator; Gimmal Discovery Attender.

  • Familiar with standard eDiscovery methodology.

  • Microsoft Office (including advanced Excel).

  • Microsoft Exchange

  • Ability to engage effectively to internal Clients (notably General Counsel and Human Resource.) (i) to understand requirements for a particular request (ii) to turn Business requirements into technical requests / activities (iii) to summarize and present the resulting information back to the Business requestor.

  • A high degree of discretion is required for this role. 

  • Excellent documentation skills to ensure that key processes are documented in an effective manner.

The Compensation range for this role is 65,000 to 70,000 USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus
