Objective:
The objective of this role is to support the administration, maintenance, testing, and day-to-day operation of student systems and related digital platforms, ensuring the security, accuracy, availability, and accessibility of student information within the Academic Systems Team.
Reporting to
This position will report, for line management purposes, to the Academic Systems Manager.
Responsibilities
Principal Duties:
• Provide administrative and technical support for student systems and other related IT platforms.
• Assist with system maintenance, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues relating to user access, data integrity, system functionality, and performance.
• Support the Academic Systems Team with system testing, upgrades, configuration changes, and new system implementations.
• Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions to ensure appropriate and secure system access.
• Assist in investigating system issues, identifying root causes, and escalating technical problems where required.
• Support data validation and data-quality checks across student systems.
• Assist with system integrations and data flows between relevant platforms where required.
• Generate and deliver scheduled and ad-hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the development of reports, dashboards, and data analysis for academic and business requirements.
• Maintain system documentation, user guides, procedures, and knowledge-base material.
• Support the training and guidance to new junior staff and end users on relevant systems.
• Respond to system- and IT-related enquiries from staff and students via email, phone, or in-person support.
• Support user acceptance testing and document test results, issues, and outcomes.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system efficiency and user experience.
