Provides first-line customer service for payroll and timekeeping questions, manages payroll phone and email inquiries, logs issues, distributes reports, supports check distribution, completes employment verifications, assists with payroll audits and bi-weekly processing, and performs administrative duties.
Entry level payroll position. Customer service skills are essential to this position. First point of contact for payroll and time & labor questions. Responsible for answering payroll team phone and email. Logs and monitors payroll customer service inquiries and issues. Perform various administrative duties for the payroll team. Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Works closely with Human Resources, Benefits, Managers and Employees to answer questions and resolve issues - the first point of contact. Customer service skills essential.
- Answer payroll team phone and respond to or direct calls as appropriate
- Monitor and respond to or redirect payroll team email as appropriate
- Log payroll inquires and issues in Payroll Customer Service database
- Assist with team communication
- Manage bi-weekly report distribution to external customers
- Assist with printing, packaging and distribution of checks/advices
- Assist with payroll audits/reviews to ensure accuracy of pay and identify potential errors
- Completes Verification of Employment requests.
- Receives and sorts incoming mail
- Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of employees
- Detail oriented with Strong analytical ability
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of Acces a plus
