As an IT Systems Support Engineer, you are the chief system administrator of Bold Penguin's employee technology portfolio. You apply broad technical knowledge and big-picture, lateral thinking skills to identify and implement the right technology solutions to enable productivity for our employees, contractors, and external collaborators.

This role is a flex office/home role and comes with the expectation you will engage onsite a certain number of working days per month, in our brand-new office located in Dublin, Ohio, with your Bold Penguin colleagues and customers. On-site workdays will be managed at the team level to maintain an environment focused on work-life balance, innovation velocity, and the delivery of exceptional customer experiences.
In this role, you will be expected to work 20% of working days per month (4 days per month on average) in the office. This is a minimum expectation. All employees are welcome to work in the office as much as they like. Applicants must be local (within 35 miles) to Dublin, Ohio.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- You'll provide technical and administrative support for a broad portfolio of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) apps and platforms used internally by employees, contractors, and external collaborators.
- You'll be the system administrator and architect for platforms supporting core internal IT processes including mobile device management (RMM / MDM), identity and access management (IAM), and our collaboration suite including email, web chat, and video calling.
- You'll identify and capitalize on opportunities to solve problems with code, leveraging APIs, webhooks, and workflow platforms like Zapier to integrate SaaS platforms seamlessly and automate processes for IT and internal business teams.
- You'll provide Tier 2 support as a subject matter expert for issues escalated from the IT helpdesk.
- You'll collaborate with software developers and engineering leadership to support integrations between the employee technology stack and Bold Penguin's internally developed and customer-facing applications.
- You'll consult with IT and business leadership to design, implement, and validate best practices around user lifecycle and IAM, end user device management (RMM / MDM), and data loss prevention (DLP) throughout the organization.
- You'll shadow and serve as backup for the Manager of Employee Technology as the principal owner of all end user productivity platforms within Bold Penguin.
- Contribute to special projects, process improvement initiatives, and other duties as assigned to support evolving business needs.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 - 4 years of relevant work experience or 6+ years of combined education and industry experience, including any of the below:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT information systems, computer network systems administration, business technology management, cybersecurity, or a similar field
- Vocational programs, career training, or industry certifications in an IT-related field (CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Cisco CCST/CCNA, AWS, GCP, Microsoft Certified Administrator, etc)
- Career experience in relevant roles
- Experience supporting hardware and relevant management platforms for Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints, Intune, Windows Autopilot, Apple Business Manager, Cisco Meraki networks, VoIP, cloud PBX, and conference room collaboration systems, building access control, and security cameras
- Experience deploying, managing, migrating, and retiring SaaS productivity platforms (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, SharePoint) and line of business apps.
- Experience managing cloud identity and access management platforms (Okta, Microsoft Entra), implementing and troubleshooting single-sign-on technology including SAML 2.0 and OpenID, and designing role-based access control (RBAC) schemes
- Experience working with APIs, webhooks, and automation and workflow platforms (Zapier, Power Automate). Scripting experience in PowerShell and bash / ShellScript on macOS and Linux.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time, (up to 8 hours per day) at a desk working on a computer.
- Must be able to use standard office equipment for extended periods of time, including but not limited to, a mouse, keyboard, phone and video conferencing.
