The Opportunity: 

This is your opportunity to own and sustain RMF governance activities for DoD information systems, ensuring authorization artifacts, eMASS records, control implementation evidence, and remediation activities accurately reflect the system’s cybersecurity posture. System and device hardening, security patching and ability to analyze STIG, SCAP, and ACAS findings, POA&Ms, architecture, inherited controls, compensating controls, and technical evidence.

What You’ll Work On:

  • Manage the RMF lifecycle activities and authorization-package maintenance.

  • Maintain SSP, ConMon Plan, IRP, CMP, control narratives, diagrams, inventories, and supporting evidence.

  • Perform eMASS package administration and quality assurance.

  • Coordinate monthly POA&M updates, evidence validation, milestone tracking, and closure.

  • Analyze NIST SP 800-53 Rev.5 controls and translate requirements into system-specific implementation statements.

  • Develop Security Impact Assessments for proposed system and configuration changes.

  • Develop or coordinate ISAs, MOAs, and MOUs as required for system interconnections.

  • Support T-Req and data-connection reviews and coordinate with ISSM, engineers, and system owners, reviewing tickets for completeness.

  • Prepare packages for continuous monitoring and authorization reviews with stakeholders.

  • Analyze source, destination, ports, protocols, services, data sensitivity, encryption, authentication, boundary protection, and mission need.

  • Identify required security artifacts, approvals, firewall, network actions, and interconnection documentation.

  • Coordinate with ISSM, network and security engineering, system owners, and requestors.

  • Maintain status, metrics, aging reports, and escalation paths.

  • Identify high-risk or nonstandard connection requests for deeper assessment.

You Have:   

  • 8+ years of experience with DoD RMF or cybersecurity

  • Experience using eMASS to address security controls, create POA&Ms, and upload artifacts such as STIG checklists or ACAS scans

  • Experience with the administration of Windows, Linux, AWS Cloud and containerization systems and software configuration

  • Knowledge of NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5, DoDI 8510.01, POA&M management, and DoD authorization practices

  • Knowledge of TCP, IP, ports, protocols, firewalls, segmentation, PKI, encryption, identity and access management, and DoD network security concepts

  • Ability to validate STIG and vulnerability findings, false positives, risk acceptances, mitigations, remediation evidence, and closure packages using ACAS, Nessus scans, STIGs, SCAP, SCC, vulnerability results, configuration reviews, system queries, and manual procedures

  • Ability to analyze system boundaries, data flows, external interfaces, interconnections, inherited controls, and common-control dependencies

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering or Cyber

  • DoD 8570 or 8140-aligned Certification such as Security+, CISSP, or CASP+ Certification

Nice If You Have:   

  • Experience with ticket and workflow platforms and disciplined documentation

  • Experience with technical writing and evidence-validation skills

  • Knowledge of technical control implementation

  • Ability to read and design network and system architecture diagrams

  • Ability to evaluate ICAM controls, including MFA, PKI/CAC authentication, privileged access, account management, separation of duties, and least privilege

  • Ability to distinguish routine connectivity from connections that alter authorization boundary or risk posture

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
