Job Description
Process incoming New Accounts and perform Maintenance on existing accounts. Perform timely, accurate, and efficient processing of client accounts. Complete existing account maintenance and updates. Execute tasks in a manner which fulfills both regulatory and internal obligations and deadlines. Work both with Direct Business accounts held at outside vendors and Brokerage/Investment Advisory accounts held through affiliated company clearing firms. Anticipated work schedule Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.


This role could be hybrid (Lincoln, NE or Cincinnati, OH) or remote based on proximity to an office location.  Hybrid is preferred.


What you do:

  • Efficiently process both brokerage and direct held new business and account maintenance items such as address changes, registration changes, financial updates, verifications, returned mail research, and other new business functions as directed by Operations Management.
  • Review and accurately index new work items in the Docupace system
  • Utilize the Docupace and Caesar Data Base systems to retrieve client paperwork and accurately enter client information into back-office systems.
  • Effectively handle incoming calls on the New Accounts phone line and incoming emails in the New Accounts email inbox.
  • Adherence to AIC Operations' Core Service Standards for processing and assisting other associates as dictated by volume of processing and direction from Operations management.
  • Courteous customer service and effective oral and written communication with registered reps, outside financial institutions, Ameritas associates, and clients.
  • Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors in a multi-location environment.
  • Effective utilization of multiple software programs, Internet applications, and databases necessary to complete workload requirements.
  • Process complex brokerage accounts proficiently

What you bring:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 2+ years related work experience required, preferably in the financial services, banking, and/or insurance industries.
  • At least 1 year of securities processing or industry experience preferred.
  • Strong data entry and verbal/written communication skills are required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume environment required.
  • Experience with MS Office required.
  • Ability to work effectively with limited supervision and with other departments across multiple locations.
  • FINRA Series 7 and Series 24 desired but not required.
