Opal is redefining identity security for modern enterprises. The concept of least privilege access is well understood in theory but very hard in practice. We've all felt the pain of not getting the access we need to do our job - and security teams feel the pain of either being a bottleneck or authorizing everyone at the expense of risk. At Opal, we’re solving this critical problem to make least privilege not only possible but practical. We are taking an age-old problem in enterprise software and making it simple. Our product prioritizes consumer-grade simplicity with enterprise scale, reliability, and security. Our customers love our product, and we’re humbled to work with amazing companies like ScaleAI, Grammarly, Databricks, and Figma.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and deploy integrations using Go to third party systems such as AWS, Netsuite, Snowflake, Okta, etc.

  • Work with REST APIs and SDKs for those systems

  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand integration needs, troubleshooting and enhancing solutions as needed

  • Help set and refine best practices for integration standards and processes, ensuring reliability and performance

Our ideal candidate

  • Experienced with API integrations and has a strong understanding of modern integration frameworks and tools

  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.

  • Flourishes in the backend.  React experience is a nice-to-have.

  • Proficient with Golang.  Nice to have: React, Typescript, SQL

  • Thrives in collaborative, flexible environments and can manage projects with high autonomy and great communication

  • Comfortable managing and delivering projects on a contract basis

  • Keeps hours close to NYC

  • Bonus: Experience in the Identity Security landscape
