Job Description:

Job Summary

As the Inside Sales Representative II, you will be responsible for generating and increasing sales through inbound and outbound calls, managing customer relationships, and overseeing international order processing and logistics. This hybrid role combines domestic inside sales with international operations, ensuring seamless customer service and compliance across all markets. You will also play a key role in supporting dairy industry customers, helping build relationships with ag sectors and dealers worldwide.

Essential Functions:

Sales & Customer Relations

  • Conduct regular outbound calls to assigned domestic and international customers.

  • Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information.

  • Offer solutions for customer requests and issues, including up-selling and cross-selling.

  • Educate customers on product features and benefits to drive sales and satisfaction.

  • Maintain strong relationships with internal teams, customers, and manufacturing/logistics partners.

  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

  • Identify trends in customer satisfaction and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

International & Sales Customer Support

  • Serve as a key liaison for international customers, providing tailored support across time zones and languages.

  • Understand the unique needs of agricultural and dairy industry clients globally, offering culturally aware and market-specific solutions.

  • Assist in building and nurturing relationships with ag sectors, distributors, and dealers worldwide.

  • Act as a resource for international sales teams, providing product knowledge, logistics guidance, and customer service excellence.

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership to develop strategies that resonate with global agricultural markets.

Order & Quote Management

  • Review personal and shared inboxes for domestic and international purchase orders and quote requests.

  • Enter orders and quotes, including estimated freight costs and formatting order acknowledgements as required.

  • Estimate weights/dimensions and generate freight quotes.

Shipping & Logistics

  • Draft commercial invoices, packing slips, SLIs, and export documentation.

  • Coordinate pickups and shipments with UPS, CH Robinson, or customer logistics providers.

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of EEI/AES documentation.

  • Print and prepare labels, BOLs, and customs packets.

Invoicing & Payments

  • Send balance due invoices, customs documents, delivery estimates, and tracking information.

  • Apply payments and monitor banking for deposits.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Add new international customers to the Risk Portal and manage the Patterson Questionnaire process.

  • Maintain AES audit files and ensure all backup documentation is stored appropriately.

  • Identify and correct documentation errors and ensure compliance with international shipping regulations.

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain accurate customer and territory records.

  • Document all customer interactions and sales opportunities.

  • Run and analyze sales reports.

  • Monitor shipment schedules and verify pricing and terms.

  • Adhere to Accounts Receivable policies and practices.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 1-3yrs of Inside Sales and/or Customer Service experience

  • Previous success exceeding sales goals

  • Exceptional customer service and organization skills

  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail

  • Self-motivated

  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • General computer proficiency including knowledge of MS Office

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or Animal Health, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience in animal health/agriculture or sales

  • Inside sales experience; previous success attaining, and exceeding sales goals is a plus.

Physical Demands

  • Sitting or Standing, majority of work day

Environmental Factors

  • Operate a computer of other office devices

  • Talking and hearing, position involves frequent communication with customers, inside staff, etc, and requires ability to understand and effectively exchange accurate information

  • Reading and sight, requires frequent review of customer information

Travel and On-call

  • This position provides the opportunity for minimal travel (25%) in a regional area for a sales ride-along or training opportunity.

The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount could exceed this range, based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills.

$20.38 - $24.95EEO Statement
