Job Title: Service Delivery Manager (with DevOps background)
Location: Mclean, VA (5 day onsite + Flexible schedule with occasional on-call rotation for P1/P2 incidents.

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager with a strong DevOps background to lead enterprise DevOps platform managed services for a large regulated client. The role is responsible for driving service delivery, governance, reliability, platform modernization, DevOps engineering excellence, security and compliance, stakeholder and vendor management, financial oversight, and continuous improvement across the DevOps toolchain ecosystem. The Delivery Manager will ensure high availability, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and business value through automation, platform standardization, performance metrics, and strategic leadership..
This role blends service delivery management, platform product mindset, technical depth, and stakeholder leadership to ensure high availability, compliance, and measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own service delivery, SLAs/SLOs, incident, problem, and change management (ITIL).
- Ensure reliability, availability, capacity planning, DR, and platform governance.
- Lead DevOps platform modernization, upgrades, migrations, and automation initiatives.
- Drive CI/CD, IaC, containerization, observability, DevSecOps, and release governance best practices.
- Manage security, compliance, audit readiness, and risk controls.
- Partner with business, engineering, security, and vendor teams.
- Track DORA metrics, MTTR, adoption, and service performance KPIs..
Required Skills & Expertise:
- 10+ years of IT experience.
- 5+ years in DevOps/Platform Engineering.
- 3–5+ years in service delivery, engagement, or managed services leadership.
- Strong expertise in CI/CD, SCM, IaC, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, observability, and ITSM.
- Experience with tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Artifactory, Vault, SonarQube, Splunk, Datadog, ServiceNow, and AWS/Azure/GCP.
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- ITIL Foundation or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: AWS Architect, CKA/CKAD, Terraform Associate, PMP/PRINCE2, SAFe, ITIL Intermediate.
- Experience consolidating/modernizing toolchains and leading platform migrations at scale.
- Demonstrated FinOps practices and license optimization in platform contexts.
- Experience with developer portals and golden path enablement.
