Job Overview:
We are seeking a business analyst to join our Global Trade Capture team within the Data cluster of ABN AMRO Clearing Chicago. Our team is responsible for defining, designing and developing a new global trade capture business application and supporting this process, globally.
As a Business Analyst, you focus on defining both functional and non-functional requirements for new products, systems and tooling. You do this by translating product and process improvements into value propositions and end-to-end solutions that are consistent with developments in the areas of technology, digitalization, legislation, and regulations. You also take into account the requirements and frameworks set by internal and external stakeholders, such as development teams and regulators.
You are able to promote change through the solutions you propose. You clarify how effective improvements in performance, quality and efficiency can be achieved. You provide advice to relevant internal and external stakeholders, creating support for implementing change and run activities in your discipline.
This position is based in our Chicago office and requires a min of 3 days per week onsite in office.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Interact with stakeholders to determine business needs and functional requirements
  • Document end-to-end business processes
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams
  • Develop test cases, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and guide releases
  • Provide production support, including incident management and issue resolution
  • Communicate time lines to stakeholders
  • Interact with development team and provide articulate business requirements
  • Assist the product owner in preparing a cohesive vision for the product
  • Act as a key spokesperson for the Global Trade Capture team in the U.S.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience working in the (listed) derivatives and equities industry, with full understanding of the post-trade lifecycle from trade capture through to settlement
  • Deep understanding of various product types, including energy products
  • Experience working for a Central Counterparty (CCP), clearing house, or exchange is a plus
  • Able to gather requirements from the business and translate these into technical solutions
  • Experience working on complex IT implementations together with IT developers
  • Familiarity with interpreting FIX protocol and translating this in to other formats
  • Experience in querying on SQL databases
  • Not afraid of working with legacy systems, with the drive to improve our applications
  • Strong personal leadership skills; able to run projects independently
  • Familiar with working in global teams across different time zones
  • Experience working in an Agile environment with Scrum methodology

Below is the expected base salary for this position. Offers will ultimately be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and performance in the interview process. This position will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
Annual base salary, not including discretionary bonus eligibility: $110,000+
