We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented Independent Contractor to provide on-site IT support across our portfolio of charter schools in the Colorado Springs area. If you are a self-motivated IT professional looking for a flexible, impactful contract opportunity, we want to partner with you!

Scope of Work & Responsibilities

As an independent STS, you will provide critical on-site technology support and issue resolution across multiple school campuses in Colorado Springs.

Technical Support & Problem Resolution

  • On-Site Troubleshooting: Lead the resolution of technical issues requiring an on-site presence, including hardware diagnostics and root-cause analysis.
  • Deployments & Maintenance: Manage the on-site installation, repair, and maintenance for workstations, network equipment, and peripheral devices.
  • Project Support: Assist with technology deployment projects on an as-needed basis.
  • Remote Team Collaboration: Act as the local on-site liaison for our remote IT support team. Coordinate clearly to facilitate remote troubleshooting and document resolutions.

Customer Support & Service

  • Client Relations: Act as a professional face of Inspiroz on the ground, communicating updates, challenges, and solutions to school administration in a clear and timely manner.
  • Goal Alignment: Assist school staff in ensuring technology solutions align with their day-to-day educational goals.
  • Professional Communication: Maintain professional, accurate, and prompt communication (responding to active issues within a standard two-hour window during the school day).

Ticket & Deliverable Tracking

  • Documentation: Diligently track service time and deliverables using ConnectWise Manage.
  • Ticket Management: Update ticket statuses with clear, concise notes to ensure seamless collaboration with the remote service desk.
  • Preparation: Review assigned tickets ahead of scheduled school visits to ensure you are fully prepared with necessary tools or parts.

Contractor Requirements & Qualifications

Technical Knowledge:

  • Windows and Mac Systems
  • Active Directory management
  • Networking equipment and basic routing/switching concepts
  • Hands-on hardware repairs and installations

Skills & Abilities:

  • Mobility: Must have reliable transportation to travel between multiple school locations within the Colorado Springs area.
  • Autonomy: Strong ability to self-motivate, work independently on-site, and manage your own schedule effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to handle changing priorities across different school environments.

Requirements

Possess a valid driving license to drive between locations

Clear BGV (background verification check for school clearances) prior to starting the contract

Ability to commit to a minimum 3 months to cover current client and will be extended to cover other clients in the area post 3 months .
