Job Description

Are you energized by people, workplace culture, and helping great teams thrive? Coffman Engineers is looking for an HR professional who enjoys building strong relationships, supporting employees, and contributing to a collaborative, high-performing office environment.

Our Denver area office is seeking a Human Resources Generalist who brings sound judgment, attention to detail, and a helpful, can-do approach to a wide range of HR responsibilities. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with both current and prospective employees, balancing multiple priorities with accuracy, discretion, and professionalism.

Responsibilities include:

  • Recruitment (post jobs, participate in interviews, conduct background checks, EEO outreach, attend career fairs, etc.)
  • Administering employment life-cycle tasks (onboarding through termination)
  • Responding to human-resources related inquiries
  • Providing policy and procedure guidance to employees and managers
  • Participating in employee relations and performance management issues as needed, coordinating closely with Corporate HR
  • Serving as point of contact for employee benefits
  • Assisting with wellness program activities
  • Collaborating with office leadership team to support a positive office culture
  • Assisting in the planning and organizing of office events
  • Working in partnership with corporate and HR Team members throughout the company
  • Managing HR data and reporting
  • Assisting with coordination and record keeping of training and development including professional licensing, certification, and mentorship program
  • Performing other HR and Administrative duties as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of related Human Resource experience preferred
  • Understanding and knowledge of employment law (federal, state, local) and HR principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • A history of being organized, detail-oriented, and accurate
  • Superior communication skills

The expected hourly pay for this position is $37.00 - $45.00.
