Job Purpose

The Human Resources Generalist supports all functional areas of Human Resources and works closely with the Human Resources Director to carry out HR programs, processes, and initiatives across the organization. A significant portion of this role is dedicated to full-cycle, high-volume recruiting, while also providing broad day-to-day HR support across the employee lifecycle. 


Responsibilities

  • Manage and support talent acquisition activities, including reviewing applications, maintaining the applicant tracking system (ATS) and job postings, conducting initial interviews, coordinating second-round interviews, preparing and sending offer letters, and managing pre-employment background checks.

  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including scheduling and facilitating onboarding meetings and coordinating initial training programs to support a smooth and effective transition into the organization.

  • Administer biweekly payroll by verifying the accuracy of payroll-related data, gathering and inputting payroll changes, and working with employees to resolve issue

  • Oversee HR administration, including record-keeping, HRIS management, paid time off and leave of absence management, unemployment claim responses, employment verification and other similar duties

  • Support the administration of compensation and benefits programs.

  • Develop and generate regular and ad hoc reporting on HR and payroll data to inform business decisions.

  • Maintain and communicate company policies to ensure policy enforcement, employee support, and legal compliance.

  • Provide guidance and support to management and employees on HR-related matters.

  • Support Senior Management with the resolution of employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures by providing input about company policies and practices, coordinating meetings and follow-up and assisting with documentation.

  • Maintain compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations, staying abreast of changes and updates.

  • With the guidance of Senior Management, implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives, such as coordinating the annual performance review process, employee engagement survey, learning and development initiatives, etc.

  • Promote the company culture and champion the company’s Core Values

  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; and/or HR certification (SHRM-CP/PHR)

  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources administration or management preferred

  • Thorough understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence others.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.

  • Proven track record of driving HR initiatives and achieving results.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.

  • Proficiency in HRIS, Microsoft Office, and other HR-related software.

Job Details

This is a salaried, full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday. This position is based out of our Greenwood Corporate Plaza location (7951 E. Maplewood Ave., Greenwood Village, CO 80111) and requires the ability to travel to any of our 13 DriveSafe locations (review the map of locations at this link). The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
