Wellvana is seeking a dependable, organized, and people-focused Human Resources Assistant (HRA) to support the company's day-to-day human resources operations. The HRA will assist with employee records, onboarding, recruiting, scheduling, HR documentation, benefits administration, employee communications, and general administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to handle confidential employee information with discretion.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department.
- Assist with recruiting, including posting job openings, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Coordinate new-hire onboarding and assist with completing required employment paperwork.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files.
- Enter and update employee information in HR systems and databases.
- Assist with employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes.
- Prepare employment letters, forms, reports, and other HR documents.
- Assist employees with general HR questions and direct complex issues to the appropriate HR team member.
- Maintain accurate records of employee information, attendance, time off, and other HR-related data.
- Assist with benefits enrollment and employee benefit questions.
- Help coordinate employee training and development activities.
- Schedule meetings, interviews, orientations, and other HR activities.
- Assist with maintaining company policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
- Help track required employee certifications, training, and documentation.
- Assist with payroll-related administrative tasks and provide information to payroll when needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee, payroll, benefits, and company information.
- Prepare HR reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Assist with employee engagement activities and company events.
- Ensure HR records and documentation are organized and up to date.
- Assist with compliance-related administrative tasks as directed by HR management.
- Perform other HR and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Previous HR, administrative, recruiting, or office experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Professional and approachable communication style.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
