Position OverviewThe Help Desk Technician I supports the mission of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention by assisting the Service Desk in providing 24/7 IT support to CDC staff. This role supports enterprise IT operations, collaborates with Service Desk personnel, and uses designated IT support tools to deliver responsive technical assistance.
Key ResponsibilitiesService Desk Support- Support the Service Desk weekend team.
- Collaborate with other CDC Service Desk staff.
- Assist in providing 24/7 IT support to CDC staff.
- Drive key policies and procedures for IT support.
- Utilize IT support tools provided by the Customer Engagement Branch.
- Provide Windows 11 support.
- Support O365 applications and VPN-related issues.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of related experience.
- Technical skills with O365 applications and VPN support.
- Schedule:
- Saturday–Sunday, 5:00 AM–6:00 PM
- Monday–Tuesday, 12:00 PM–9:00 PM
- New employee training schedule:
- 7:30 AM–4:30 PM for four weeks
