About the Job:

We are seeking a highly experienced and influential leader to serve as Head of Marketing Business Operations. This role acts as a force multiplier for the SVP of Marketing, owning the execution of the company’s highest-priority marketing initiatives, translating strategy into clear priorities, executable plans, and delivered outcomes. They fill gaps between teams, remove systemic friction, and ensure the company’s highest-priority marketing initiatives are executed at a high standard.

Responsibilities:
  • Translate marketing strategy and direction into clear priorities, executable plans, and enterprise-level initiatives
  • Drive the company’s most critical marketing initiatives by owning outcomes through cross-functional leaders and holding senior stakeholders accountable
  • Act as the integrator across the marketing leadership team, driving alignment, decision-making, and execution across functions
  • Lead the annual and quarterly marketing planning process, ensuring alignment to company strategy and revenue goals
  • Establish and enforce a consistent operating rhythm (QBRs, monthly reviews, initiative tracking) to improve visibility, accountability, and performance
  • Drive executive visibility and transparency into marketing performance, clearly communicating what is working, what is not, and where we are investing to improve outcomes
Qualifications:
  • 10-12+ years of experience in B2B marketing strategy, consulting, or GTM/operational leadership roles 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead highly complex, cross-functional initiatives with impact across multiple functions or business units
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and drive alignment across senior leadership
  • Deep understanding of marketing organizations, functions, and performance levers at scale
  • Proven ability to operate with high autonomy, exercising sound judgment in ambiguous, high-stakes situations
  • Track record of improving organizational effectiveness, speed, and execution quality

Pay:

Target pay ranges based on Geographic Zones* for Level 5: 

  • Zone 1: San Francisco/Bay Area or NYC Metropolitan Area, Boston, Seattle - $171,000 - $235,000**
  • Zone 2: Irvine, LA, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Santa Rosa, Austin, Portland, Philadelphia, Chicago - $154,000 - $211,000**
  • Zone 3: All other US locations - $145,000 - $200,000**

LaunchDarkly operates from a place of high trust and transparency; we are happy to state the pay range for our open roles to best align with your needs. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

*Within the United States, our geographic pay zones are defined by counties surrounding major metropolitan areas.
**Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), health, vision, and dental insurance, and mental health benefits in addition to salary.
