Overview

Compound Planning is a high-growth digital family office with over $5B in AUM added since 2022. We serve entrepreneurs, professionals, and retirees through a powerful combination of personalized financial advisory and a proprietary technology platform. Our cross-functional team of advisors, tax experts, engineers, and operators is building the financial institution of the future, one grounded in rigor, client trust, and operational excellence.

Content is Compound's primary driver of organic growth — roughly 10K monthly visitors, 100 signups, and dozens of advisory intro meetings a month flow through it today, and it's now the backbone for every new channel we're testing, from digital ads to advisor recruiting. As Marking Content Lead, you will own and scale that engine end to end: strategy, production, agencies, and distribution — giving the Head of Marketing leverage to focus on growth experiments, new channels, and the initiatives that move Compound toward profitability.

This is not a junior writing role. You'll inherit a working system — The Manual, Compound Interests, Compound Conversations, public relations, social, and product marketing — and you're expected to run it with minimal oversight, write the highest-leverage pieces yourself, and push our agencies and partners already in place. You have final editorial say on what ships.

What You'll Do

Own the Content Engine

  • Take full editorial and operational ownership of The Manual, Compound Interests, Compound Conversations, public relations, brand/exec social, and product marketing

  • Set and drive content strategy — topics, themes, timing — in partnership with the Head of Marketing, who remains involved at the strategic level

  • Manage the compliance submission and approval workflow, and own publishing to the CMS and newsletter platform

  • Identify advisor subject-matter experts and turn their expertise into published content across formats

Write the High-Leverage Work Yourself

  • Personally write email, landing pages, decks, and social copy where quality and speed matter most — without needing review cycles to ship

  • Build and defend a point of view on Compound's ICP and how advisors think, so content decisions don't require checking in

Run Compound Conversations

  • Own topic and panelist selection, agenda-setting, and advisor coordination for the monthly series

  • Write landing page copy, hold advisors accountable for skeleton decks, and polish materials for delivery

  • Write and distribute email/social promotion to drive attendance

  • Build the derivative-content pipeline from event transcripts and recordings, and grow the series to new audiences and formats

Manage Agencies and Partners

  • Own and optimize relationships with StoryArb and other growth/content partners — push on output, quality and strategy rather than manage logistics

  • Manage copy, PR, and ad agency relationships and improve their ROI

  • Own digital ad copywriting and creative review

Scale What's Working

  • Increase output, consistency, and quality across formats without adding headcount-heavy overhead

  • Build the connective tissue between content and other functions — flagging where content-to-pipeline handoffs break down and partnering with RevOps to fix them

  • Own email lifecycle content, from onboarding sequences to reengagement campaigns

What We're Looking For
  • Experience managing agencies (copy, PR, ads) and driving them without heavy hand-holding

  • Strong personal writing ability — you can produce polished emails, landing pages, decks, and social copy yourself, not just direct others who do

  • Background in wealth management or personal finance content (preferred, but not required); fintech familiarity a plus

  • A track record of owning a content function end-to-end — from strategy to production to distribution — with minimal oversight

  • Comfortable operating as the sole senior content voice in the org, with authority to make final editorial calls

  • Strong project management instincts — juggling a multi-format content calendar, agency relationships, and advisor coordination simultaneously

  • AI-Native

The Opportunity

This role suits a senior, scrappy content operator ready for full ownership of a content engine that's already working — not someone looking to build a content function from zero, and not someone who wants heavy strategic direction from above. You'll have real autonomy, a direct line to the Head of Marketing, and the mandate to take Compound's content flywheel from "working" to "compounding."
