About the Role
Popmenu is hiring its first GTM Engineer to build the systems that power our go-to-market motion. This is a build role. You will design those systems from the ground up and have real latitude in deciding what gets built first.
We run a high-velocity, low-ACV motion: thousands of addressable restaurants in every market we sell into, and a sales cycle typically under 30 days. Our Sales, Marketing and CX teams run well on processes they have built and refined themselves. What they do not have yet are the systems to take that repetitive work off them, orchestrate the handoffs between them, and put the right accounts in front of the right person automatically. Building those systems is how we intend to have the sharpest, most efficient go-to-market motion in restaurant technology.
You will report to our Chief Business Officer and Co-Founder and work across Sales, Marketing and CX. Salesforce and Salesloft are our system of record and sequencing today, and the data, enrichment and automation around them is largely yours to build. Nobody hands you a backlog here. You will find where we are losing hours and where we are losing accounts, decide what matters most, and build the fix.
What You'll Own
Pipeline and Targeting
- A single source of truth for every addressable restaurant in our markets, US and UK, assigned to territory automatically, enriched, and scored on fit and intent
- An AI-native outbound engine that turns cold restaurants into booked conversations, at a volume no team could run manually
- The infrastructure that makes that volume possible: domain strategy, inbox rotation, warmup and sender reputation
- Inbound speed to lead, plus routing and attribution in partnership with Marketing
Sales Productivity
- Take the repetitive work off our AEs: list building, account research, call prep, follow-up, routing and data entry
- Put reps in front of prioritized, signal-ranked queues instead of a blank search bar
CX and Post-Sale Efficiency
- Bring the same leverage to onboarding, support workflows and account health scoring
- Orchestrate the handoffs between Sales, Marketing and CX so nothing is rekeyed, re-researched or dropped between teams
- Automate the good processes that are still being run manually, without breaking what already works
Systems, Stack and Roadmap
- Own the architecture of how our GTM tools connect, and the quality of the data inside them
- Own what you build end to end, including monitoring, error handling, and the guardrails on anything AI-generated that reaches a restaurant
- Know our stack, know what exists in the market that we are not yet using, and make the case for what we adopt, replace or retire
- Set the roadmap and bring a clear, defensible point of view on what gets built first
- Measure the impact: repetitive hours removed across Sales and CX, territory coverage and data accuracy, booked conversations generated, and speed to lead
Requirements
What We're Looking For
Non-Negotiables
- 5+ years in GTM engineering, revenue operations, growth or marketing operations, including time owning a function rather than a slice of one
- Self-directed by default. You can point to problems you identified yourself, decided were worth solving, and drove to completion
- Strong SQL and working Python or equivalent. You can connect two systems with no native integration
- AI in production. You have shipped AI-driven workflows that reach real customers, and you can explain your evals, guardrails and human-review step before anything goes out
- CRM architecture rather than administration. Salesforce or HubSpot, plus modern enrichment and orchestration tooling: Clay, n8n, Make or equivalent
- Commercial instinct, and a track record of shipping work with teams you do not manage
Strong Preference
- High-velocity, low-ACV motions. Cycles under 30 days and thousands of accounts per market
- Restaurant tech, hospitality SaaS, or vertical SaaS
- Local business or multi-location data
- Experience building without a large team, in a startup or scale-up environment
Who You Are
- A builder, not a maintainer. You are energized by an open scope rather than unsettled by it
- Strategic without being asked. You bring a point of view on what should happen next and you can defend it
- Focused on leverage. You measure your work by the hours and errors you take out of other people's days
