You’ll operate at the intersection of cutting-edge AI and real-world fintech applications—driving innovation while ensuring scalability, reliability, and measurable business impact.

You will join a team responsible for defining and driving the strategy for our next generation of AI products. A core part of this role involves close collaboration with the Agentic AI team to guide the design of agent architectures, including planning, tool use, and orchestration. A critical focus will be on defining the product roadmap and prioritizing features to ensure our AI products are powerful and production-ready by strategically managing the tradeoffs among model performance, latency, and cost.

Interesting problems you’ll get to solve

  • Own the end-to-end product strategy for Zip’s Agentic AI products, including end-to-end ownership of customer-facing AI product outcomes.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to build smart AI-powered products that deliver better decisioning, personalization, and outcomes across consumer and merchant experiences.
  • Drive AI best practices and principles across the entire Product Management organization.
  • Operate at both the system-level architecture and the product detail
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Risk, Design, Legal, and Marketing teams
  • Align stakeholders on roadmap priorities and trade-offs
  • Present strategy and results to executive leadership
  • Own the success of AI products through clear metrics; driving measurable ROI, adoption, and sustained product growth.
  • Balance innovation with regulatory, compliance, and risk considerations typical in fintech

What you’ll bring to the team

  • 10–12+ years in product management, with significant time in enterprise systems, AI, or infrastructure,  including 3–5+ years in leadership roles
  • Experience owning complex, high-stakes systems (e.g., payments, risk, marketing, AI platforms)
  • You’ve led teams and shipped products that operate at scale
  •  Strong background in platform products, APIs, or developer ecosystems
  • Deep understanding of:
    • LLMs, prompt engineering, and evaluation frameworks
    • Agent architectures (planning, tool use, orchestration)
    • Tradeoffs between model performance, latency, and cost
  • Ability to translate complex technical systems into customer value
  • You can engage credibly with engineers and researchers on system design
  • Track record of owning multi-product portfolios and driving measurable outcome
