You will work across the full software development lifecycle, collaborating with engineers, product owners, mission users, and operational stakeholders to deliver reliable, mission-focused capabilities in demanding operational environments.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Design, develop, integrate, test, and maintain full-stack software applications based on customer and mission requirements.

  • Develop scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, and related frameworks.
  • Design, implement, and integrate RESTful APIs, WebSocket services, and other web services.
  • Develop applications that interact with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Support application development and deployment across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Apply DevSecOps practices, including Git-based version control, peer code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration and delivery.
  • Troubleshoot front-end, backend, API, database, and deployment issues.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and implement improvements to application performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Collaborate with product owners, software engineers, developers, system administrators, cybersecurity professionals, and operational stakeholders.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, design reviews, coding standards, and software development processes.
  • Support the delivery of software for operational environments that may include limited-bandwidth or disconnected conditions.

Required Clearance:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have an active Secret Clearance.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related technical discipline and 5+ years of related professional experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Professional experience developing production software with React and JavaScript-based technologies.
  • Experience developing backend services using Java, Node.js, or both.
  • Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot.
  • Experience designing, developing, integrating, or consuming RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in a software development or deployment environment.
  • Experience developing in Linux environments.
  • Experience using Git for source control and collaborative software development.
  • Experience working with relational databases, NoSQL databases, or both.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Advanced experience with TypeScript, reusable React components, UI libraries, and state-management solutions.
  • Experience with Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
  • Experience with Maven, Gradle, or other Java build and dependency-management tools.
  • Experience deploying applications to AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or other cloud environments.
  • Experience supporting DoD cloud, tactical, or operational environments.
  • Familiarity with disconnected, intermittent, and limited-bandwidth environments.
  • Experience developing or maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Keycloak, identity and access management, and role-based access control.
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity requirements, including Security Technical Implementation Guides.
  • Experience with messaging technologies such as JMS or Apache Kafka.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar database technologies.
