As a Full Stack Product Engineer at EXL, Payment Services, you'll independently build, deploy, and support secure, scalable web applications that solve critical challenges in the US healthcare payment space. You'll collaborate across development, product, data, and client teams to deliver high-quality software and rock-solid production performance.

ResponsibilitiesIndependently own the full stack, from front-end and service layers to backend, data, and reporting.
Build and support enterprise-grade web applications using modern stacks: React, .NET Core, Python, APIs, SQL Server / PostgreSQL, and SSRS.
Develop Python services, data-processing routines, and automation across the application and pipeline layers.
Use DuckDB for fast, in-process analytical queries over structured and columnar data, powering reporting, validation, and data-quality checks.
Design and maintain structured and unstructured data pipelines (ETL/ELT and document / OCR / NLP ingestion) feeding production workflows.
Drive deployment automation, environment readiness, and performance optimization for seamless, zero-disruption releases.
Own and optimize the CI/CD pipeline across hybrid (Azure, AWS, on-premise) ecosystems, keeping assets secure, testable, and auditable.
Tune and optimize queries for performance, reliability, and reporting accuracy in high-volume environments.
Translate business needs into secure, scalable technical architectures, embedding data protection and compliance by design.
Resolve high-priority production incidents with precision, ensure zero-downtime operations, and proactively prevent recurrence.

Deliver healthcare solutions that work at scale, with reliability, speed, and security built in.
Own production performance metrics and implement observability across app layers, APIs, and data-ingestion points.
Collaborate deeply with product managers, QA, and business analysts to ship features that are user-friendly and technically sound.
Own multiple product modules and pipelines simultaneously, balancing delivery with quality and continuous improvement.
Apply strong design patterns, architecture principles, and agile delivery to accelerate time-to-market.
Proactively remove roadblocks, anticipate risks, and communicate mitigation plans clearly to stakeholders.
Collaborative Interactions:
Internal: Partner with data engineers, DevOps, business analysts, client-service teams, and tech leads. Share knowledge, mentor teammates, and grow technical depth across the team.
External: Engage with client-side stakeholders and, on occasion, executive teams to understand expectations, demo capabilities, and bridge business needs with technical delivery.
Hands on Technical Experience with:
.NET Core 8 / C# / ASP.NET and/or Python (FastAPI / Flask) service development
React (Hooks, Context, Redux/RTK), TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+)
SQL Server / PostgreSQL, stored procedures, query and performance tuning
HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, component libraries, state management
REST/GraphQL API consumption, client-side performance and accessibility
RESTful & GraphQL API design, microservices, API gateways
Authentication/authorization (OAuth2, JWT), service-to-service messaging, caching
Python for backend services, data processing, and automation
DuckDB for fast in-process analytical queries over structured and columnar data
ORM (Entity Framework / SQLAlchemy / NHibernate), schema design, migrations
Structured pipelines (ETL/ELT) and unstructured pipelines (document / OCR / NLP ingestion)
DuckDB + Python (pandas / Polars / Arrow) for analytical workloads and local data crunching
Databricks / Spark exposure for large-scale processing
CI/CD with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline
Version control (Git / Azure DevOps), automated testing, release automation
Containerization with Docker; cloud deployment on AWS or Azure
SSRS / SSIS, Power BI, dashboarding and reporting accuracy in high-volume environments
Nice to Have:
OCR & claims tech (Esker, 3M, DTKBarcode), AI/ML-enhanced workflows, LLM/NLP integration
US Healthcare payer / Payment Integrity domain exposure; agile certifications
US Healthcare Insurance / Payer & Payment Integrity context (preferred)
Strong ownership, end-to-end accountability, and production-first mindset
Education Requirements:
Master's or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent experience.
US Healthcare certifications a plus.
