We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our VA Polypharmacy Integration team, building and maintaining the frontend and backend systems that bring clinical decision support to VA clinicians.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop and maintain user interfaces using React and TypeScript for clinician-facing CDS applications
- Build and maintain backend services primarily in Kotlin, within a polyglot environment that also includes Python and Spring Boot
- Integrate with FHIR APIs and support SMART on FHIR and CDS Hooks implementations
- Ensure frontend interfaces meet WCAG 2.1 and Section 508 accessibility standards
- Collaborate with the Technical Lead on architecture decisions and engineering best practices
- Support AWS infrastructure and cloud-native deployment patterns
- Write clean, well-documented code with an eye toward maintainability and performance
What you’ll bring:
- Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript
- Backend development experience in Kotlin, Python, or Spring Boot
- Familiarity with FHIR, SMART on FHIR, or CDS Hooks is a plus
- Experience working within AWS cloud environments
- Experience with EHR platforms or VA systems is a plus
- Thrives in a remote, collaborative Agile environment and genuinely enjoys working closely with a cross-functional team
- Communicates clearly and openly, whether pairing with engineers or syncing with product and design
- Performs other related duties as assigned

Compensation:
At Oddball, it’s important each employee is compensated competitively and fairly. In alignment with state legal requirements. A range for the included position is listed below. Be advised, actual offer details are determined by job category, job location, and candidate skill level.
United States Wage Range: $90,000 – $135,000
