What You'll Do

As a FP&A Analyst at Mapbox, you will help build financial literacy across the business with transparency and accountability for driving profitability and opportunity, and ensure that finance is seen as a value-added business partner.

In this role you can expect to:

  • Collaborate closely with leaders and budget owners across Mapbox

  • Manage monthly and quarterly forecast for gross margin, operating expenses, and headcount

  • Manage weekly reporting of financial KPIs, headcount reporting and monthly ARR validation

  • Assist with preparation of board and management presentations, reviewing business performance, and outlooks

  • Provide business analysis and financial modeling to teams, including ad hoc scenarios and ROI analyses

  • Perform cost control analysis and reviews, regular management reporting of actuals to budget and operating plans

  • Provide clear and concise variance explanations

  • Partner with the Mapbox accounting team and international subsidiaries to ensure accurate and timely G/L global close and reporting

What We Believe are Important Traits for This Role

  • 2 or more years of experience as a FP&A Analyst

  • Calm under pressure, excited to be at a startup and able to enjoy the uncertainty and ever-changing nature of a high-growth company

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and Google applications

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to interact with various leadership levels

  • Hands-on experience scoping, building, and maintaining budget models and rolling forecasts

  • Experience with planning and budget management across multiple offices, departments, teams, and currencies

Nice to Have Traits for This Role

  • Tech industry experience

  • Experience with NetSuite

  • Experience with tools such as Hyperion, Data Rails, and/or Adaptive Insights (Planning)

Our annual base compensation for this role ranges from $85,000 - $115,000 for most US locations and 5% to 10% higher for US locations with a higher cost of labor. Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location.
