Look around you. The office building you're sitting in, the hospital down the street, the data centers powering the AI boom. Every one of them was designed by architects and engineers on software from 1997 and mountains of paperwork.
Because of this, engineers spend 40% of their time not engineering.
That's time we don't have. The US needs 400,000 new engineers every year, and one in three engineering roles is expected to go unfilled through 2030. Meanwhile, America faces a $3.7 trillion infrastructure gap. In Germany there is a backlog of €231 billion in infrastructure, including €69 billion in schools. These are schools not being built because there simply aren't enough engineers.
That's why VOUND exists.
We are building the AI operating layer for the modern planning office. We put the unsexy, non-billable work on autopilot, so architects and engineers can focus on designing.
Why now, why us
Seven months after launch, we've passed €1M ARR, entirely bootstrapped. Now we've closed an oversubscribed €6M seed round, backed by top-tier global VCs and founders and operators who've spent their careers in this industry.
What you own
We're based in Germany, and you'll be our first US team member, leading our entire US expansion. It's the kind of freedom and responsibility you normally don't get as an SDR.
The playbook. You'll work directly with our founders to build our US sales motion from the ground up.
The first conversations. You'll find out how US architecture and engineering firms work, what they struggle with and how to talk to them.
Design partners and pilot customers. You'll start by bringing on the firms who shape the product with us, getting early access and real influence over what we build.
What you bring
You want to grow into an Account Executive role within the next 6-12 months
You thrive in scrappy, zero-to-one environments where you get to build from scratch
Curiosity: you're always learning and you can point to the last book, podcast or idea that changed how you work
Passion: you can make anyone excited about something you care about
Systems thinking: you spot patterns in what works and turn them into a repeatable motion
Compensation
A competitive base and uncapped commission
