Job Summary
The FLIGHT DECK Learning Designer is responsible for the learning and development of assigned FLIGHT DECK fundamentals. As a subject matter expert in capability development, this role designs and delivers scalable, digitally enabled learning experiences that drive measurable outcomes. The Learning Designer creates asynchronous modules, synchronous sessions, and persona-based learning paths; partners with SMEs and stakeholders to ensure content fidelity; continuously improves assets based on learner feedback and performance data; and collaborates to embed FLIGHT DECK into capability development initiatives across the business. A background in lean manufacturing is strongly preferred.
Job Responsibilities
- Design & develop learning solutions for FLIGHT DECK fundamentals, aligned to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost outcomes
- Build multi-modal experiences: asynchronous eLearning/microlearning, virtual and in-person synchronous sessions, and role/persona-based learning paths
- Translate business & learner needs into clear learning objectives, assessments, and practice that enable application
- Partner with subject matter experts, the FLIGHT DECK Capability Development team, and business stakeholders to ensure content accuracy and operational relevance
- Create performance support assets (job aids, checklists, simulations, practice scenarios) and integrate with enterprise platforms (e.g., LMS/LXP)
- Pilot new content, measure effectiveness using defined metrics, and iterate using feedback, data, and continuous improvement methods
- Ensure accessibility, usability, and instructional quality standards; maintain version control and content lifecycle updates
- Support change management and communications to drive adoption and proficiency across target personas and regions
- Facilitate or co-facilitate sessions as needed; enable trainers/facilitators through enablement materials and processes
- Consult and collaborate across the business to embed FLIGHT DECK into capability-building initiatives, ensuring consistent adoption, integration, and alignment with strategic outcomes.
- Contribute to content governance, templates, and standard work to ensure consistency across fundamentals
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Learning & Development, instructional design, or related capability development roles
- Demonstrated experience designing, delivering, and scaling multi-modal learning programs across large, complex organizations
- Proven cross-functional project team leadership with the ability to set strategy, establish standard work, and coach for performance
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills; ability to influence across a matrixed, global environment
- Data-driven approach to measurement and continuous improvement; experience with learning analytics, dashboards, and assessment strategies
- Lean manufacturing background preferred; working knowledge of lean operating systems and practices

Travel and Location
- Location/Work Arrangement: Remote; must be within 40 miles of a major US airport
- Travel: Up to 50% travel to sites

The base pay range for this position is $122,000-$162,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary. This posting is expected to close on February 12th.
