Finance Team Manager for Education Business Solutions, Inc. (dba EdOps) may telecommute from anywhere in the US and report to our Washington, DC HQ loc. As front line manager of team of 6-8 finance analysts & finance specialists: Train & coach staff as part of standard training & beyond, so they meet/exceed expectations for role & dvlp toward goals; Support staff’s career paths thru org via discussion, navigation & collabtv planning; Dvlp & conduct Perf Rvws, Mid-Year & Quarterly Deep Dives for direct reports w/ input from peers, leads & clients; Address underperformance & dvlp PIPs; Decide staff promo timing (w/ approval of Director of Coaching&Dvlpmt); Create/maintain inclusv & fair work culture; Resolv staff issues. Provide/adapt QC processes & cadence for indiv team members to ensure work meets org standrds. Consult Accounting Principals for complex situatns, rule clarific, etc. Contribute to org improvemt of finance servc line efficiency & accuracy. Make recommendations, inform & collab w/ Director of People Ops to optimize ops-wide practices & approaches. Be outsourced controller for 1-2 schools by overseeing day-to-day full-cycle accounting & compliance aspects of the schools. Active role in ongoing recruitmt of new staff across finance team (not just own team), incl in final round intervws. MUST HAVE: Bachelor’s in Finance, Econ, Business, Business Admin, Accounting, or rel field; 3 years of rel exp in the education, accounting, or finance industry or a rel industry; and required skills. Alternatively, must have Master’s in Finance, Econ, Business, Business Admin, Accounting, or rel field; 2 years of rel exp in the education, accounting, or finance industry or a rel industry; and required skills. Requires skills (2 yrs exp) in: training or mentoring junior employees; accounting systems. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable. Wage: $131,979 - $131,979.
