Job Duties and Responsibilities

As a key member of the Retail Wireless Finance team at EchoStar, driving business insight, influencing strategic decisions, and evaluating key growth initiatives go beyond traditional financial reporting. Reporting to the Director of Financial Analysis, leadership and development of a high-performing team of financial analysts occur within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Close collaboration with Product, Sales, and Operations leadership evaluates subscriber economics, analyzes promotional strategies, and guides capital allocation decisions. Robust financial models project long-term value across various initiatives, helping ensure profitable subscriber growth.

 

What Success Looks Like (Objectives):

  • Lead, mentor, and professionally develop a team of 1–2 financial analysts supporting multiple brands and sales channels
  • Develop and manage sophisticated financial models for business case evaluations, pricing strategies, ad hoc analysis, and strategic capital investments
  • Perform in-depth NPV, DCF, and pro-forma P&L modeling, focusing on key wireless metrics such as SAC, ARPU, Churn, LTV, and payback periods
  • Synthesize complex datasets across diverse business units while presenting summaries and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships across Sales, Product, Marketing, and Accounting to ensure financial alignment and operational accuracy
  • Leverage AI-driven analytical systems to enhance financial modeling efficiency and dataset synthesis

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring):

  • Expertise in advanced Microsoft Excel functions, financial modeling, and scenario analysis
  • Application of AI-driven analytical tools and financial reporting software like OneStream or Power BI to enhance data interpretation
  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to translate complex financial models into clear executive presentations
  • Strong foundation in corporate finance principles, accounting fundamentals, and business unit performance management
  • Proactive problem-solving capabilities paired with an intellectual curiosity, an ownership mindset, and an ability to prioritize effectively during peak cycles
  • Demonstrated history of progressive experience in financial analysis, including supervisory or team management responsibilities

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree or professional certifications such as CFA or CPA
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace tools including Sheets, Docs, and Slides

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, including 2+ years in a direct team management or supervisory role
  • Required Technical Skills:
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Financial modeling tools
    • Scenario analysis software

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $101,925.00/Year - $158,125.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
