We're looking for a talented Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team. The Finance team at Anaconda turns financial insights into strategic clarity, enabling data-driven decisions across the business while ensuring responsible stewardship of resources. We partner with leaders across the company to translate business objectives into financial models, drive profitable growth, and build sustainable operations that advance our mission to transform the world with open source.
As a Finance Business Partner supporting our Go-to-Market organization, you'll be a vital member of the Finance team and work directly with our Chief Commercial Officer and GTM leadership team spanning Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Sales Engineering, and Services. You'll translate complex business dynamics into clear financial insights, shape resource allocation decisions, and drive accountability for revenue growth and operational efficiency across our customer-facing teams.
- Partner with GTM leadership to build financial models and business cases that inform strategic decisions around market expansion, resource allocation, and investment priorities, sharing insights early and often to enable faster, smarter planning
- Deliver monthly and quarterly financial analysis of revenue performance, pipeline health, customer acquisition costs, and retention metrics to identify trends and recommend actions that drive profitable growth
- Lead the annual planning and quarterly forecasting process for the GTM organization, collaborating transparently across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to align budgets with strategic priorities
- Design and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks that give leaders real-time visibility into key metrics like ARR growth, sales efficiency, CAC payback, and customer lifetime value
- Investigate variances between plan and actuals, diagnosing root causes and partnering with business leaders to develop corrective actions that close gaps and accelerate performance
- Enable cross-functional initiatives by providing financial guidance on pricing strategies, compensation plans, territory design, and go-to-market experiments that balance growth ambition with fiscal responsibility
- Build strong relationships across Finance, Sales Operations, and RevOps to ensure data integrity, process alignment, and consistent definitions that support accurate decision-making
- Quality and timeliness of financial insights that enable GTM leadership to make faster, better-informed strategic decisions
- Accuracy of revenue forecasts and budget management across the GTM organization
- Effectiveness of financial frameworks and metrics in driving accountability and improving GTM efficiency (e.g., improved CAC ratios, sales productivity, forecast accuracy)
- 5+ years of progressive finance experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or finance business partnering roles
- Demonstrated experience supporting revenue-generating functions such as Sales, Marketing, or Customer Success in a B2B SaaS or technology company
- Strong proficiency with financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and building executive-ready presentations that translate complex analysis into actionable recommendations
- Experience with financial systems and business intelligence tools (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, Adaptive Insights, Tableau, Looker)
- Track record of building trusted partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders and influencing decisions through data-driven storytelling
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field

- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other programming languages to independently analyze large datasets and automate reporting + familiarity with Anaconda products
- Experience working in an open-source, AI, or data science-oriented company
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment

The base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $184,000, along with annual bonus potential, equity participation, and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual compensation is determined by various factors, including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter will provide more specific details on the salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
