Company Description

Our client is an organization focused on the development and evaluation of advanced artificial intelligence systems, with an emphasis on improving their ability to perform complex, real-world professional tasks.

The organization is working on initiatives that assess how AI systems interpret financial information, apply accounting principles, analyze business data, and demonstrate sound professional judgment.

These projects bring together experienced finance and accounting professionals to help establish reliable evaluation standards and improve the accuracy, consistency, and practical capabilities of AI-driven solutions.

Job Description

Our client is seeking experienced Finance & Accounting Experts to contribute to specialized artificial intelligence evaluation projects.

In this fully remote, project-based contractor role, selected professionals will apply their practical financial and accounting expertise to design realistic, multi-step assignments that assess how effectively advanced AI systems handle complex financial workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design realistic, multi-step finance and accounting tasks based on actual professional workflows, including financial planning and analysis (FP&A), financial reporting, auditing, and account reconciliations.

  • Transform complex financial processes into clearly structured assignments with detailed instructions, supporting documentation, and measurable outcomes.

  • Develop objective grading criteria and evaluation standards that allow independent reviewers to assess results consistently.

  • Create scenarios requiring financial judgment, analytical reasoning, error identification, and interpretation of financial information rather than simple data retrieval.

  • Prepare or organize supporting materials, including Excel spreadsheets, general ledger extracts, financial statements, audit documentation, and accounting policies.

  • Develop tasks involving financial reconciliations, variance analysis, reporting accuracy, and identification of accounting discrepancies.

  • Review assignments to identify ambiguity, inconsistencies, or evaluation criteria that cannot be measured objectively.

  • Deliver completed assignments according to established project deadlines and quality standards.

This opportunity allows experienced finance and accounting professionals to apply their expertise to innovative AI initiatives without requiring previous experience in artificial intelligence.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on professional experience in Finance, Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Financial Reporting, Auditing, or Account Reconciliations.

  • Demonstrated direct responsibility for financial processes, accounting operations, financial analysis, or audit procedures. Experience limited exclusively to supervisory or advisory roles is not sufficient.

  • Strong knowledge of financial statements, general ledger transactions, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and accounting controls.

  • Proven experience developing or applying structured review standards, including audit programs, financial review checklists, month-end closing procedures, or quality assessment frameworks.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial analysis, data validation, reconciliations, and working with complex spreadsheets.

  • Ability to analyze information across multiple documents, identify discrepancies, investigate errors, and apply sound financial judgment.

  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to translate complex financial processes into clearly defined tasks with objective evaluation criteria.

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills (advanced B2 or C1 level).

  • Ability to work independently, manage project deadlines, and deliver accurate, high-quality assignments in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification such as CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent.

  • Experience preparing financial training materials, audit documentation, review procedures, or structured professional assessments.

  • Previous exposure to artificial intelligence, AI training, large language models (LLMs), or AI evaluation projects is an advantage but not required.

Important: Previous AI experience is not required. Candidates will be evaluated primarily on their practical finance and accounting expertise, analytical capabilities, and ability to develop structured, objectively assessable financial tasks.
