Members contribute their professional skills and leverage their networks in service of the organization’s gender-equity agenda.Membership is a minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week and includes a $100 refundable deposit, returned after six months of active membership. K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit.

JerseySTEM is looking for talented professionals across our departments to commit time and energy as long-term engagement for our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls.
The ideal candidate has non-profit experience and is proficient in Quickbooks. The Accountant is responsible for the coordination and execution of account reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable function.
Responsibilities- Maintain the general ledger by processing all company invoices, payments, purchases and donations
- Conduct account reconciliations
- Review and verify accuracy of financial and contract paperwork and processes
- Summarize and prepare financial records and statements for reporting
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting
- 2+ years' accounting experience
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in using Quickbooks
- 3-5 hours/week, minimum 6 months commitment
- Must have non-profit organization experience
This is a pro-bono volunteer position.
