About the Role: 

We are looking for a Field test Engineer who will be directly involved in validating the quality and reliability of our Motive  products in real-world environments. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in embedded systems testing and a passion for improving product quality through practical use.

As part of the QA team, you’ll actively test and provide feedback on products by using them as intended — in vehicles, on the road, and in varied field conditions. You’ll play a key role in identifying edge-case issues, usability concerns, and integration gaps by dogfooding the system, acting as both tester and user to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards before wide release.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in real-world testing (dogfooding) of AI features by driving assigned routes.
  • Provide clear and timely feedback on system behavior, feature performance, and issues encountered.
  • Follow provided drive testing routes, safety guidelines, and logging procedures.
  • Document observations accurately and submit daily feedback reports.
  • Collaborate with the QA and AI teams by sharing findings from test drives.

What We’re Looking For:

  • First-year Bachelor's degree candidates (or equivalent academic standing) are welcome , must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Enthusiastic about technology and interested in AI and smart systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and good observational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions carefully and communicate clearly.
  • Reliable, responsible, and able to work flexible drive schedules (weekday and weekend options).
  • Comfortable using mobile apps and basic software for logging results.

Hourly Pay:  $25 - $30

30 to 40 hours per week

Your compensation may be based on several factors, including education, work experience, and certifications. For certain roles, total compensation may include restricted stock units.
