Hex is looking for a creative, strategic, and execution-minded Field and Events Marketing Lead to take our events program to the next level. You’ll own everything from event strategy to hands-on production—shaping how Hex shows up in the world through experiences that inspire, connect, and drive real outcomes.
You’ll define and execute Hex’s event strategy across owned, partner, and third-party experiences. You’ll think beyond the booth—architecting fresh, memorable ways to bring our brand to life for data practitioners, leaders, and customers. This isn’t about old playbooks. We’re looking for someone who knows the fundamentals of field marketing but wants to reinvent them.
This is a high-visibility, high-impact role. You’ll partner closely with sales, partnerships, and brand to design events that drive pipeline, deepen relationships, and strengthen Hex’s position as the leading platform for advanced analytics.
You’ll start as a team of one—working with trusted contractors and agency partners—but you’ll also help hire and lead a growing team as our programs scale.
What You’ll Do
- Own the strategy for Hex’s events and field marketing, across hosted, sponsored, and partner programs.
- Design experiences that feel fresh, on-brand, and memorable—from intimate executive dinners to large-scale activations.
- Drive pipeline impact by partnering with Sales and RevOps on event targeting, pre/post engagement, and measurable outcomes.
- Build and manage the events calendar, budgets, vendors, and logistics—balancing creativity with flawless execution.
- Manager partner event programs that strengthen relationships with key ecosystem players (Snowflake, dbt, Databricks, and others).
- Experiment and iterate—measure performance, test new concepts, and evolve what field and events can mean at Hex.
- Lead and scale—manage contractors and agencies now, and build a small but mighty team over time.
- 5–8+ years of experience in field marketing, events marketing, or experiential marketing, ideally in B2B SaaS.
- Experience owning both strategy and execution—you’re as comfortable building a plan as you are rolling up your sleeves to deliver it.
- A creative thinker who loves to break conventions and craft experiences that make people stop, think, and engage.
- Strong project management and attention to detail—you can juggle multiple moving parts and make it all look seamless.
- Skilled at cross-functional collaboration with sales, marketing, and partnerships teams.
- Willing to travel to major events and activations throughout the year (approximately 25-40%)
- Energized by new challenges and a fast-moving, startup environment.
