Salesforce Developer - Salesforce Federal Delivery
Location: Remote (US-based). While this is a primarily remote role, possible in-person expectations include visits with customers and Thunder offices in Northern Virginia/DC.
Employment Type: This is a contingent role based upon a successful bid award.
Role Summary: The Salesforce Developer will deliver scalable, secure solutions on the Salesforce platform based on industry best practices and mission needs. Beyond platform maintenance, this role focuses on modernizing government service by designing, developing, and deploying Salesforce solutions that transform constituent interactions. You will collaborate with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, and Project Managers to implement customized, scalable, and compliant Salesforce solutions that directly support Federal agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Custom Development: Design, build, and configure Apex classes, triggers, and Lightning Web Components (LWCs) to equip external constituents and users with custom actions to resolve complex inquiries.
- Constituent Portals: Build, customize, and maintain Experience Cloud sites to deliver secure, accessible self-service portals, constituent-facing engagement platforms, and digital experiences.
- Portal Automation & Workflows: Implement business logic, custom components, and automated workflows within Experience Cloud in compliance with Federal standards.
- System Integration: Build secure API integrations between legacy Federal systems and Experience Cloud portals to ensure accurate, real-time data access for external users.
- Solution Design & Collaboration: Work alongside BAs and Architects to translate complex mission requirements into secure, high-impact technical architectures on Experience Cloud.
- Quality & Compliance: Participate in code reviews, debug complex issues, and support UAT testing while strictly adhering to Federal security protocols.
- DevSecOps & CI/CD: Support secure CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices to enable rapid, reliable deployments in cleared Federal environments.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience specializing in Apex, LWC, Experience Cloud, and secure REST/SOAP API integrations.
- Domain Expertise: Demonstrated experience configuring, extending, and building custom Experience Cloud sites, portals, and constituent-facing digital solutions.
- Core Automation: Proven track record of implementing complex business logic, enterprise workflows, and custom platform automations.
- Federal Context: Experience integrating Salesforce with legacy Federal systems and navigating cleared, highly regulated environments.
- Development Tools & Methodologies: Proficiency with Git, secure coding standards, and DevSecOps/CI/CD pipelines. Active participant in Agile/Scrum delivery models.
- Clearance & Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required, with the ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Certifications
- Required: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I
- Preferred: Experience Cloud Consultant and/or Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II
