We work hands-on with brand new systems, solve real problems every day, and play a direct role in Micron's historic expansion!
This role is essential to ensuring reliable, safe, and efficient wastewater treatment operations for both new and existing fabs. As a Facilities Wastewater Engineer, you will influence system design, support construction and commissioning, and partner closely with operations to keep complex treatment systems performing at a high level. You'll collaborate across engineering, construction, and manufacturing teams while helping shape the long-term sustainability of our Boise operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering support for design, construction, commissioning, and operation of semiconductor wastewater, reclaim, and zero liquid discharge systems
  • Review and validate designs, calculations, equipment submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and construction models
  • Partner with operations and technicians to monitor system performance using SPC, IoT, and SCADA tools
  • Support system modifications, upgrades, solving problems, and vendor coordination
  • Drive safety, quality, reliability, and cost improvement initiatives across wastewater systems

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field
  • Three or more years of experience supporting wastewater or industrial treatment systems
  • Working knowledge of safety laws, environmental compliance, and hazardous energy control
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across technical teams

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in engineering or Professional Engineer certification
  • Three or more years of facilities or plant operations experience in semiconductor manufacturing
  • Experience with commissioning, capacity planning, and system performance optimization
  • Experience working with vendors on equipment design, documentation, and service support
