Leads strategy, planning, execution, and optimization for in-person and virtual marketing events, including trade shows, conferences, client forums, and hosted programs. Manages event budgets, logistics, vendors, agencies, project plans, communications, and cross-functional stakeholder alignment. Partners with Sales and Customer Success to support pipeline growth, client retention, advocacy, and expansion. Tracks attendance, engagement, influenced pipeline, ROI, and other performance metrics to improve event strategy and efficiency.

Position Overview
The Experiential Marketing Manager leads the planning, execution and optimization of in-person and virtual events that build brand visibility, strengthen client relationships and support pipeline growth. This role owns and contributes to a range of experiences including trade shows, hosted events, executive programs, client activations and WebMD Health Services’ annual client forum.
This is a cross-functional role for a strong event marketer with 4–6 years of experience who can connect event strategy to business goals. The ideal candidate is creative, organized and results-driven, with a strong ability to partner with Marketing, Sales and Customer Success to support acquisition, retention, expansion and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Event Strategy & Execution
- Plan and execute in-person events including trade shows, conferences, hosted field events and the annual Empower client forum
- Develop the event strategy aligned to marketing priorities, sales goals and customer objectives
- Oversee event logistics including venues, vendors, production, staffing, registration, shipping, AV, signage, catering and on-site execution
- Ensure events reflect the WebMD Health Services brand and deliver a polished attendee experience
Sales & Customer Success Partnership
- Partner with Sales to align events with target accounts, territories, pipeline priorities and meeting goals
- Collaborate with Customer Success to create client experiences that support retention, advocacy and growth
- Support pre-event outreach and post-event follow-up with Sales, Customer Success and Marketing
- Identify opportunities to activate customer speakers, references, testimonials and peer connections
Program Management & Operations
- Build and manage project plans, budgets, timelines and stakeholder communications for each event
- Manage multiple events at once while keeping teams aligned on milestones, deliverables and decisions
- Oversee agency, venue and vendor relationships including contracts, scopes of work and execution quality
- Partner with internal teams across Creative, Demand Generation, Solution Marketing, Product, Sales, Customer Success and Finance
- Improve processes, templates and playbooks to support efficient execution across the event program
Performance, Reporting & Optimization
- Track and report on performance metrics such as attendance, meetings, engagement, influenced pipeline, customer participation and ROI
- Partner with Marketing Operations and Sales Operations to support lead capture, attribution, follow-up and reporting
- Lead post-event recaps and recommend improvements based on performance data and stakeholder feedback
- Use insights and benchmarks to optimize event strategy, attendee experience and budget efficiency
Content, Communications & Enablement
- Contribute to event messaging, presentations, promotional materials and internal communications
- Partner with creative and content teams to develop event-related assets
- Provide clear updates and communications to keep stakeholders informed and aligned
- Extend the value of events through recap content, internal reporting and sales enablement
Qualifications
- 4–6 years of experience in event marketing, experiential marketing, field marketing or corporate events, preferably in B2B SaaS, healthcare, benefits, HR tech or a related industry
- Proven ability to own events from strategy through execution and post-event measurement
- Experience partnering with Sales and Customer Success to support pipeline generation, client engagement, retention or expansion
- Strong understanding of the B2B buyer journey and customer lifecycle
- Experience managing budgets, timelines, vendors, contracts and multiple event workstreams at once
- Strong project management skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust across teams
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data to evaluate and improve program performance
- Proficiency with tools such as Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, Splash, ON24, Smartsheet or similar platforms
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Willingness to travel up to 25–30%
- Ability to lift and carry event materials up to 25 pounds
