The ideal candidate is a team, client, and thought leader in brand-based strategy work across a variety of industries. We are seeking someone equally adept at making complex problems simpler, inspiring a team of brand builders, and helping to augment the reputation of one of the country's largest brand, culture, and experience consultancies.
You likely have 15+ years of experience including leading teams and growing top talent. Your track record in business development, pitching, and client acquisition will be solid, and you are hungry to amplify your voice within our industry. The perfect candidate for us tends to lean more B2B given the nature of our business and future client base.
Your role is responsible for driving our strategy team forward, keeping them inspired, challenged, and motivated, and collaborating with other leaders across our business to define Monigle's ways of working now and into the future. You will take ownership of our strategy craft while confidently collaborating with Insights, Visual and Verbal Expression, Experience, Business Transformation, Campaign, and Client Experience.
In this role, your core responsibilities will be to:

  • Successfully define, evolve, and grow the strategy practice and the strategy practitioners
  • Lead and own pitch experiences (especially with large-scale prospects) while also growing the impact of your team in successfully engaging in pitch work
  • Ensure that all strategy work at Monigle is designed, structured, and delivered at the highest possible level of quality, strategic rigor, and client orientation
  • Enable Monigle to grow the depth, breadth, and offerings that the team is delivering to its existing clients in strategy-related areas and beyond
  • Manage the workflows and resources of the strategy team
  • Develop and grow top strategy talent at Monigle while actively recruiting the next generation of strategy leaders for the business
  • Pioneer new thinking and initiatives outside of project work that make Monigle a better and more inspiring place to work
  • Work closely and regularly with leadership across Monigle to identify cross-departmental opportunities, challenges to find and implement opportunities to optimize, evolve, and transform the Monigle offer and how we deliver
  • Lead strategy-related content development and other thought leadership activities and participate in conferences that enhance Monigle's reputation
  • Act as a coach and mentor to project teams and individuals both inside and outside of strategy
  • Impact the overall Monigle vision and direction


Our ideal candidate:

  • Likely has 15+ years experience in brand, experience, or strategy at a brand agency, an experience or culture consultancy, or even in management consulting
  • Knows how to do brand architecture both at a high level and in the weeds
  • Has a perspective on the future of brand, culture, and experience agencies
  • Leads large, multi-stream engagements at the national and global scale that lead to growth opportunities for the agency
  • Wins new business
  • Communicates with ease-both written and verbal
  • Sees PPT as their weapon of choice
  • Has the ability to LEAD the work and also to DO the work
  • Understands and has applied qualitative and quantitative research to their work


Salary range: $200,000 - $275,000

  • Final salary will be determined based on seniority, merit, geographic location, education, training and experience, and may vary from the amount listed above.
