Events and Community Communications Specialist
Position Purpose:
This role will provide dedicated support for departmental events and community engagement, while expanding our capacity to meet growing communication and content creation needs.
Essential Duties:
- Execute event planning, logistics, and event-related communications
- Create and publish member and community communications across multiple platforms
- Resource library and community content publishing
- Support community engagement initiatives and contributor relationships
- Assist with marketing campaigns and promotional activities
- Execute content distribution across members, community, and social media channels
- Member engagement communications support
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Content management and publishing experience
- Community engagement and relationship-building skills
- Desired skills: proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite or similar creative tools for graphic design, video editing, and writing
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Must be able to effectively operate a Windows-based computer and navigate Microsoft Office Suite
Requirements:
- Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Must sign the Statement of Faith
- A high school diploma or equivalent education is required
- A Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred
- Must pass all required checks
Experience:
- Compensation is commensurate with experience
