Job Summary & Responsibilities
Conservice is seeking a Consultant to join our ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) services team. Conservice provides an intelligent, comprehensive, and intuitive platform for ESG data management for real estate clients. We help organizations develop and implement ESG initiatives that provide an imperative to attract and retain capital, accelerate sustainable and responsible growth, and mitigate enterprise risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and oversee client accounts, taking initiative and providing project management and team coordination, deliverable development, client communication, and strategic guidance
- Lead the process for preparing GRESB submissions across multiple clients
- Conduct projects that help clients determine their ESG impacts, develop ESG programs and initiatives, and orient towards new objectives, such as GHG inventories, materiality assessments and CDP reporting
- Guide clients in disclosing their ESG performance by using industry benchmarking methodologies, developing corporate sustainability reports and aligning with frameworks such as TCFD and GRI, responding to investor requests, and other mechanisms
- Assist clients in internal policy development and strategy setting
- Travel as needed - Could be as little as 1-2x/year
Skills
- Consulting Experience: Previous work delivering consulting services to clients, ideally in the real estate industry and/or providing ESG or sustainability services
- Project Management: Ability to plan project objectives and tasks, execute them with internal teams and clients, and track and report progress
- ESG Knowledge: Understanding of ESG issues, especially in the context of commercial real estate; ideally, have completed GRESB submissions, conducted GHG inventories, managed materiality assessments, prepared ENERGY STAR award submissions for buildings and/or completed other ESG activities
- Leadership: Demonstrate initiative and an ownership mindset by identifying and initiating value-add opportunities, both internally and externally
- Problem Solving: Leverage strategic thinking and focus on root causes to constructively solve problems and improve guidance and deliverables for clients
- Effective Communication: Ability to discuss, set and manage clients’ expectations in written form, orally and through meeting facilitation
- Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with Data Analysts, other consultants, management and the entire Conservice ESG team
