The Civil Environmental & Infrastructure Portfolio at Leidos currently has an opening for an Environmental Data Manager at our Denver CO office, with 75% hybrid remote.

The Environmental Data Manager will manage environmental investigation-derived data collected under contracts with the Army Corps of Engineers.  Data to be managed will include field measurements and screening data, state and federal regulatory values, sample chains of custody, laboratory methods and target analyte lists, confirmatory analytical chemistry data, data quality and validation information, statistical analysis data, exposure assessment data, and geospatial data.  The Environmental Data Manager will perform extract, transform, and load (ETL) operations on the data and will manage the data throughout its lifecycle (event planning, field prep and execution, investigation data compilation, Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC), report preparation and submittal, final data submissions).  The Environmental Data Manager will support many project managers, analysts, chemists, and customer-specified data delivery formats. 

The Environmental Data Manager will establish electronic quality assurance project plans, coordinate field sample event planning and tracking using the EQuIS Sample Planning Module (SPM), configure field data collection forms in EQuIS Collect, and assimilate field measurement data.  Candidates will process laboratory data deliverables utilizing the EQuIS Data Processor (EDP), coordinate data verification and validation activates utilizing the EQuIS Data Quality Module (DQM), and manage project data and workflows utilizing EQuIS Professional, and EQuIS Enterprise.  Candidates will work daily with other Data Managers, project chemists, GIS operators, and will collaborate with multiple Leidos offices. Candidates will perform data migrations to assimilate legacy data in various formats into the EQuIS database.  Applicants should demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and be comfortable working in a team environment. Strong organizational skills are essential.

Environmental Data Manager responsibilities: 

• Interface daily with quality control/laboratory/field personnel.
• Manage data status across recurring and ad hoc sampling events
• Build planned sample, analysis, target analyte records into established relational databases.
• Generate sample labels for field collection events.
• Conduct routine checks of data deliverable compliance with contract specifications.
• Ensure data completeness and readiness for analysis activities (lifecycle tracking).
• Maintain state and federal regulatory screening criteria for each project.
• Load sample chain of custody information into established relational databases.
• Load field and analytical chemistry data to established relational databases.
• Perform data edits and corrections as instructed by quality assurance staff.
• Develop T-SQL queries to locate and interrogate data.
• Extract data and provide support to Leidos report writers, risk assessors, and analysts.
• Generate data presentation and screening tables.
• Design and manage EQuIS Collect mobile forms
• Design and manage EQuIS EnviroInsite reports
• Manage Leidos EQuIS EDD format(s), reference values, and analytical laboratory transmittal compliance.0
• Provide data delivery support to customer-specified formats and systems. 
• Migrate legacy project data into EQuIS database. 

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related scientific discipline: a Masters and 2+ years also being considered. 
• 4 + years’ experience managing environmental analytical chemistry data
• Experience managing environmental analytical chemistry data using EQuIS EDP and EQuIS Professional.
• Experience managing sampling projects in EQuIS SPM and data collection forms in EQuIS Collect.
• Experience developing EQuIS Enterprise dashboards and widgets.
• Experience using EQuIS DQM and EnviroInsite.
• Experience writing T-SQL statements and working with relational databases.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.).

Pay Range:Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
