About the Role

The Enterprise Architect is responsible for designing, documenting, and guiding the implementation of technical solutions for customers following the sale of Veeam products. You will translate business requirements into scalable, secure architectures that align with Veeam best practices and support both customer‑led and partner‑led deployments.

In this role, you’ll provide technical leadership across complex enterprise environments, especially for organizations undergoing digital transformation. You will collaborate closely with Pre‑Sales, Sales, Customer Success, and partner teams to ensure a seamless transition from initial design through successful implementation. You will also contribute to the development of reference architectures, design standards, and best‑practice frameworks that elevate consistency and quality across all delivery engagements.

What You Will Do

Technical Discovery & Analysis

  • Lead technical discovery sessions to assess customer environments and requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for architectural improvements using Veeam technologies.

Solution Design & Documentation

  • Develop high‑level and detailed solution architectures tailored to customer needs.
  • Produce low‑level design documents, technical specifications, and implementation plans.
  • Create and maintain reference architectures to standardize deployments across customers and partners.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation and ensure designs meet security, compliance, and scalability standards.

Project Definition & Estimation

  • Work with Project Managers and stakeholders to define scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource needs.
  • Provide level‑of‑effort estimates to support planning and allocation.

Implementation Support & Technical Leadership

  • Lead hands-on implementation of Veeam solutions including on-prem, cloud, Kasten deployments 
  • Provide technical oversight during deployment and post‑sales implementation.
  • Support PoCs, workshops, and architecture validation activities.
  • Guide partner‑driven implementations to ensure adherence to Veeam best practices.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving complex technical challenges.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with Pre‑Sales, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure smooth handoff from design to delivery.
  • Engage with customers and partners to drive successful solution adoption.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, translating business goals into effective technical strategies.
  • Communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Evaluate emerging technologies—especially in containers, security, and hybrid cloud—to enhance solution architectures.
  • Contribute to internal best practices, standards, and delivery frameworks to improve efficiency and partner enablement.
What You Will Bring
  • Extensive IT experience, including solution architecture or technical leadership roles.
  • Deep expertise in data protection, backup & recovery, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity.
  • Hands‑on experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and container security.
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and enterprise storage.
  • Proven experience leading transformation initiatives for large enterprise customers.
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST), and IT governance.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience in post‑sales consulting, professional services, or solution delivery.
  • Frequent collaboration with internal teams and partners.
  • Direct engagement with customers to align technical solutions with business objectives.
  • Potential travel to support global enterprise deployments.

Required Certifications

  • AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, VMware VCP, CISSP (or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications

  • TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification.
  • Veeam VMCE.
  • Experience with automation/scripting (PowerShell, Python).
  • Familiarity with large‑scale infrastructure deployments.
  • Strong database administration skills.

Compensation Transparency

Veeam is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation. For this role, the compensation range below reflects the expected total target compensation (TTC), inclusive of base pay and a competitive performance-based bonus. For roles with a commission plan, the compensation range represents On Target Earnings (OTE), which includes base salary plus variable commission. When determining compensation, Veeam takes into consideration factors such as experience, education, skills, and geographic zone. Offers are typically made below the midpoint of the range.

In addition to compensation, Veeam provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage, retirement plans, and unlimited time off.
