The Role
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Group Manager (EGM) to lead our virtual engineering group focused on software development for Vehicle and Propulsion Architecture and Energy Management. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Matlab, Simulink, and software management, along with proven leadership skills to drive innovation and excellence within the team.

The Role

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Matlab, Simulink, and software management, along with proven leadership skills to drive innovation and excellence within the team.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage a team of engineers and software developers in the virtual engineering group supporting vehicle energy and performance simulation.
- Oversee the development and implementation of software solutions for vehicle and propulsion architecture optimization and energy management.
- Lead a cadenced global release of the energy software toolchain
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with organizational goals.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in software development practices.
- Manage project timelines and resources effectively.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in virtual engineering, vehicle energy and powertrain technologies.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Coordinate with external partners and vendors to ensure seamless integration of third-party solutions.
- Lead efforts in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in all engineering activities.
Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in leading teams and managing projects in the automotive industry.
- Minimum of 8+ years of engineering experience.
- Minimum of 3+ years software development and/or engineering management.
- Strong background in Matlab and Simulink for modeling and simulation.
- Experience with software management and development processes.
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- MS in Engineering or Computer Science.
- Working knowledge of electric and ICE propulsion systems.
- Experience with leading tool chain development.
- Management experience of product engineering teams.
