Job Description:

Broadcom's GTO team is seeking a high-energy, technically proficient Electrical Hardware & AI Integration Engineer to serve as a critical bridge between our IT infrastructure and our core Design Engineering business units.

In this role, you will not just support systems; you will provide hands-on expertise in hardware design and power electronics to ensure our technology stack evolves alongside our engineering needs. You will be tasked with leveraging emerging AI technologies to accelerate engineering workflows, automate circuit analysis, and optimize hardware development lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engineering Interface: Act as the primary technical liaison between GTO and design engineering teams to translate complex hardware requirements into scalable IT solutions.

  • Hardware Validation & Analysis: Utilize expertise in Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA) and sensitivity analysis to evaluate performance margins for automotive and aerospace-grade hardware.

  • AI-Driven Acceleration: Identify and implement emerging AI tools to automate repetitive engineering tasks, such as electronic component modeling in PSpice or signal integrity data analysis.

  • PCB & System Design: Support the development of mixed-signal hardware, including schematic design, component selection, and multi-layer PCB layout using tools like Altium Designer or Cadence.

  • Bring-up & Testing: Perform board bring-up and validation for high-speed digital systems, utilizing programmable PNAs and high-bandwidth oscilloscopes to verify system requirements.

  • Embedded Systems Implementation: Develop and tune embedded firmware (C/C++, Python/MicroPython) for closed-loop control systems and power regulation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of related experience.

  • Technical Proficiency: * Design Tools: Mastery of Cadence PSpice, Altium Designer, LTSpice, and KiCad.

    • Programming: Strong foundations in Python, C/C++, and Matlab.

    • Engineering Concepts: Deep understanding of Power/Signal Integrity, FMEA, and communication protocols (SPI, UART, CAN).

  • Experience: Proven track record in fast-paced environments (startup or research labs) handling satellite communications, power converters, or high-speed digital systems.

  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams or professional organizations, such as IEEE or FSAE-Electric.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Power Electronics (Buck, Boost, Flyback) and semiconductor device characterization.

  • Familiarity with safety-critical systems like Brake System Plausibility Devices (BSPD).

  • Ability to conduct formal design reviews and peer evaluations.
